Kate Ermutlu
College can be a lot. The pressure to keep up academically, friendships that shift without warning, questions about who you are and where you’re headed, anxiety that won’t shut off, or just that heavy feeling that you’re supposed to have it all figured out by now. A lot of students feel this way, even if it doesn’t always look like it from the outside.
I’m Kate, a Licensed Master Social Worker with over ten years of experience. At Blue Horizons Counseling I work with college students and young adults dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, stress, and the many transitions that come with this stage of life.
I keep things practical. We’ll use tools from CBT and solution-focused approaches so you actually walk away with things you can try between sessions. My style is straightforward and collaborative—I want you to feel heard without any pressure to perform or have the perfect answers.
I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions across Michigan, and I try to keep scheduling flexible around classes and work. Affordability matters to me too. Quality care shouldn’t feel out of reach.
If you’re looking for a steady, no-pressure place to sort through what’s going on, feel free to reach out. I’m happy to talk whenever you’re ready.
