Hello, I am a passionate therapist with 8+ years of experience. I work with couples, consensual non-monogamous relationships, LGBTQIA+ folks, individuals seeking self-esteem or relationship help, those who struggle with codependency, and those with concerns about anxiety. I believe in providing folks with the tools necessary to build a life they feel more confident & in charge of.
Most days you can pretend that everything is ok--that you don’t need therapy for anxiety—especially if you keep busy. Then there are these moments of panic where all of your emotions hit you and you can’t find a way to feel better. Maybe you drag yourself out of bed to go to work and have anxiety attacks where you cry in the bathroom stall. You try to keep pushing the thoughts or memories that overwhelm you away, to no avail. It doesn’t happen all the time so you can usually tell yourself and everyone else things are fine. But if you stopped for a minute and looked at reality you would notice how unhappy you are with yourself and who you are. Every move you make seems like a reminder of something you did wrong or could do better. It feels like these moments happen OUT OF NOWHERE and a part of you feels like you are going to have to live your life with these intense feelings and memories coming up unexpectedly and just having to grin and bear it until the feeling passes. Or maybe these overwhelming feelings of anxiety and dread only come up when you are dating or when you are close friends with someone. You are usually confident and happy in your life but anxiety eats away at you when you get close to someone. t doesn’t have to be this way. You can reclaim your life. Your body was MADE to feel and EXPRESS emotions. And, if you don't learn how to identify, respond to, and express those emotions regularly- they will come out- in ways that often feel out of control. My name is Lisa Manca and I specialize in working with anxiety/trauma, dating anxiety, and online therapy. My approach will help you learn how to deeply connect with your body, identify what is happening, and move through it with more ease and grace so your body has to send you those big signals less and less. We won't just TALK about what is happening or what has happened to you, we will create new routines, patterns, and strategies that feel GOOD in your body and that work in your life. Our sessions will get you moving through life with more ease (literally), dancing (sometimes), and getting really clear on creating a new way of moving through life and relationships. Through therapy with me, you will find a deep sense of safety and connection to yourself and your body. Your emotions will no longer be the enemy and you will accept who you are and be able to give compassion to yourself. You will connect with yourself, live in your body and FEEL the emotions you were once so afraid to face. Please call (415) 212-8780 to schedule your free therapy consultation now and learn how to live in your body in a way that life has more ease and less panic.

The more we understand ourselves and our experiences, the more control we have over living a life that is congruent with who we are. As your therapist, I will support you in navigating difficult emotions, better understanding yourself and accessing your strengths so you can feel like yourself again. I specialize in treating adults who are experiencing life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. I create a non-judgmental space that promotes curiosity and healing. As a registered art therapist, I’m trained in providing art-based and traditional therapy sessions. I want to help you thrive and to not feel defined by the challenges you face but the resilience you possess. If you are looking for relief from challenging symptoms or looking for someone to offer consistent care and support, I encourage you to reach out and schedule a free consultation.

And I believe it is the key to changing it. I will gently help you process your experiences to help you feel lighter, have more self-acceptance, and feel better about who you are and your future. In my practice I use psychodynamic theory and relational approach, I emphasize the role of early childhood environments in shaping our personality, life trajectory, and our relationships. My personal experiences of navigating a shift to a more fulfilling career and moving globally help me connect with folks in a unique way. You might be a deep feeler or an overthinker, someone who struggles with saying “no” or feels the weight of trying to please everyone. Maybe you’re navigating cultural or family expectations that clash with what you want for yourself. In our work together, we’ll slow down and create space for you to explore what you’re feeling in your mind and body. I’ll help you build tools to manage stress, set healthy boundaries, and feel more at ease in your own skin—without judgment or pressure. My approach is gentle, supportive, and focused on helping you connect with your values so you can make choices that feel right for you.

College students are going through transitional times in their lives. They are learning how to navigate life on their own while balancing new responsibilities, changes in relationships, and the building of their adult identities. Many find themselves feeling anxious, depressed, stuck, or lost when unforeseen challenges come their way, their life expectations aren’t met, or childhood wounds become harder to ignore. I support clients with coping with current life stressors, overcoming perfectionism and people-pleasing, and processing grief and trauma from the past.
