Hi, I’m Coreetha Entzminger, a Registered Psychological Associate with a deep commitment to supporting mental health and wellness for children, families, and individuals from all walks of life. Over the past ten years, I’ve worked as a crisis counselor and child advocate in both nonprofit and private practice settings, helping people navigate everything from trauma and anxiety to life transitions and stress. I’ve always been drawn to this work because I believe in the power of healing, growth, and connection—and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they work toward positive change. In addition to my clinical work, I’m involved in several other areas that support mental health awareness and education. I’m a member of the American Psychological Association’s Division 53, which focuses on clinical child and adolescent psychology, and I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to research for both federal and county-level institutions in Washington, D.C. I also teach as an adjunct professor in the psychology department at Myrtle Beach College, where I create course content for undergraduate students. Sharing knowledge and helping others grow—whether in the classroom or in a community workshop—is a big part of who I am. Academically, I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Montclair State University in New Jersey and a Master’s in Psychology from Arizona State University. I also hold certifications in child advocacy and applied behavior analysis, and I’m currently working toward my Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) at California Southern University. When I work with clients, I take a collaborative and compassionate approach. Therapy with me is very much a partnership—we work together to understand what’s going on, where you want to go, and how we can get there. I specialize in treating anxiety, trauma, special needs, stress, and major life transitions, and I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients better understand how their thoughts and emotions impact behavior. My goal is to create a space that feels safe, affirming, and stigma-free, where you feel supported and empowered to explore, heal, and grow. In our first session, I’ll take time to really get to know you and your story. We’ll talk about your background, what’s bringing you to therapy, and any patterns or experiences that might be influencing your current challenges. From there, we’ll shape each session around your needs and goals, always moving at a pace that feels right for you. I aim to strike a balance between being supportive and gently challenging—because sometimes a little push is what we need to move forward. If you’re thinking about therapy, know that you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. I’d be honored to support you on your journey.
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Everlight Teens, Adults & Family Therapy with over a decade of experience supporting diverse communities. I’ve had the privilege of working with teens, adults, and adolescents, helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges with compassion, understanding, and evidence-based care. As an Individual Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (ICBT), I help clients understand how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we’ll identify unhelpful patterns and develop practical strategies to build healthier coping skills and create lasting, positive change. I specialize in supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma. I have extensive experience working with individuals from underserved and diverse backgrounds, those who have faced complex trauma, homelessness, and substance use challenges. My focus is to help each person build resilience, foster healing, and find fulfillment. I bring kindness, compassion, and respect to every session. I view therapy as a collaborative process where we work together toward your goals. My approach is transparent and supportive. I aim to create a safe space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow. Together, we’ll explore what matters most to you and set meaningful, realistic goals that reflect your strengths and values. My goal-setting approach is collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping you create lasting growth and positive change. My passion for this work began with a deep desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives. Over the years, I’ve witnessed the incredible strength and resilience of those who choose to seek help, and I feel honored to be part of that healing process. Our first session is about understanding your challenges and what you hope to change. Together, we’ll set the pace, identify obstacles, and create a clear growth plan, so you feel confident and supported throughout your journey.

I love equipping clients with tools and honoring what comes to surface in our sessions together. I love working with adolescents, complex trauma, early adults transitioning in life and adults who struggle with anxiety, trauma, sexual abuse and depression. I work with clients to provide a safe space to explore their current life challenges and work collaboratively with clients. I work with clients to help them find tools they can use to navigate their daily life in a positive and healthy way. I believe you’re the expert of your experience - no one knows your life better than you. Together, we can create a deepened awareness around what’s working, what’s not & what strengths you already have that need nurturing. I work with clients to consider and name how various systems at play impact the life you live and the work we do. I take the role of earning your trust very seriously, and find it an honor to be part of your journey.

When we think of art, we typically think of paintings, films, and music. But what about living life? Ancient Greek philosophers believed that living life is an art. They also thought that, with practice, we can learn to be better artists. I believe that to live well, to navigate the challenges and struggles of life in a way that is authentic to who we are and who we want to be, would be nothing short of creating a masterpiece. Just like there is no one right way to create art, there is no one right way to live life. I believe therapy is a collaborative process that aims to create art through the life we live. I work with people of all ages and cultures who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, family/relationship issues, and self-esteem issues, among other concerns. I also have extensive experience working with teenagers and young adults, especially those struggling with difficult life transitions, anger issues, and problematic video game/internet usage. Remember, there is no one right way to create art, but there is a way that works best for you. That is what we are working toward. If you are struggling with any of these issues, or you are the parent of someone who is, it would be my honor to schedule a free consultation session with you, learn more about you and your goals, and see if we are a good fit.

My passion is utilizing the powerful benefits of EMDR with creative people, performers and survivors of trauma who are ready to live without anxiety, depression, dissociation, phobias, addiction, and post-traumatic stress. By providing relationally-focused EMDR along with advanced training in psychotherapy methods (e.g. complex developmental trauma, attachment theory, neuroscience, Polyvagal theory, CBT, ego states, psychodynamic, object relations & “parts work”) we work together to: ✦ Discover the origins of limiting beliefs in order to update old narratives about how you get to show up in the world, who you are, and what you deserve. ✦ Alleviate anxiety, depression, and trauma symptoms through a positive, growth-oriented process grounded in the philosophy that everyone is seeking wholeness. I have more than 25 years' experience in private practice specializing in trauma and creativity, and I am committed to continued learning and growth as a way of life. Having led thousands of EMDR sessions since 2010, I’m also an EMDRIA Approved Consultant teaching other EMDR Clinicians best practices through case consultations and presentations, and speak internationally about creativity, post-traumatic growth, creative artist issues and the benefits of EMDR therapy at conferences, on podcasts, as a TEDx speaker, and on TV. College can feel overwhelming — even when you “look” like you’re handling it. I work with students who struggle with anxiety, overthinking, people-pleasing, relationship stress, academic pressure, and big identity questions. You might find yourself comparing, replaying conversations at night, or feeling disconnected from who you used to be. I also specialize in perinatal mental health and support young women navigating fertility stress, pregnancy, postpartum changes, and major life transitions. In therapy, you don’t have to have it all figured out. We’ll slow things down, understand your patterns, and help you feel more grounded and confident in yourself. I offer virtual therapy for students across California.
I work with children, teens, and adults, using a specialized blend of behavior principles into my therapeutic practice. I started my career in special education as a behaviorist for children with autism and later worked as a school counselor for middle school students in East Los Angeles. I earned my BCBA in 2020 and my LCSW in 2021, allowing me to integrate behavior management techniques into my mental health practice. I love being able to work with clients from both a behavioral and mental health perspective, allowing space for big behaviors and big feelings to coexist and be processed together. I'm here to help! I am directive yet empathetic and allow clients to tailor their therapeutic plan to meet their needs and goals. Please don't hesitate to reach out for a consultation to see if we might be a good fit.
