I help thoughtful, driven students break old patterns to build more connected lives: where impact & soul align. As a former tech leader, Stanford student-athlete, and experienced therapist, I know how achievement can hide inner conflict, and that lasting growth happens when we feel both secure and challenged. In therapy, we explore the pull between ambition and ease, connection and distance, and deeper healing.

Hi, I’m Jennie Denney, AMFT — and I’m really glad you’re here! College can be overwhelming—especially when you’re carrying more than just school stress. If you’re dealing with self-harm, anxiety, identity questions, religious trauma, or just trying to hold it all together, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I specialize in working with teens and young adults who feel stuck, misunderstood, or disconnected from themselves or the people around them. My therapy style is warm, honest, and collaborative. I won’t sit back and nod—I’ll show up with you, offer tools, ask questions, and help you make sense of your story. In our work together, you can expect a space where nothing is “too much,” and where your experiences are taken seriously. Healing isn’t about being perfect—it’s about getting curious, finding your voice, and learning how to care for yourself in new ways.

Making a decision to go to therapy could be anxiety provoking but it could also help you to get unstuck from your current situation. Whether you suffer from depression, anxiety, a past trauma or emotion dysregulation, there are evidenced based practices (EBPs) that help with these conditions. In therapy, unhelpful thoughts and behaviors can be discussed, at your pace, in order to reduce emotional suffering. Therapy could assist you to start engaging in behaviors that are consistent with values that pertain to who and what you care about the most. In regards to helping a person with a past trauma and/or PTSD, I have been trained and certified in Prolonged Exposure (PE) an evidence based treatment for PTSD. I have been a witness to individuals getting past their trauma, even after decades of suffering. I am also certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an EBP for anxiety and depression. Living with a personal struggle could be debilitating and making a decision to start therapy could be the first step toward valued living. I have received intensive training in several evidence based treatments (CBT, PE, ACT, DBT) and have a wealth of experience working with individuals that have felt stuck. I welcome the opportunity to work with you.

Licensed Professional Counselor
San Jose, CA

I currently have immediate openings for teletherapy and I also offer walk-and-talk sessions at the San Jose Rose Garden. I am licensed in both California and Texas. I have more than ten years of experience working with adolescents and young adults. I most frequently help my college-aged clients navigate the challenges of anxiety, depression, ADHD, executive dysfunction, giftedness, self-esteem and body image issues, relationships, grief, disordered eating, and trauma. I specialize in, and especially enjoy working with, ADHD, gifted persons, and college-aged young adults. As a private practice clinician since 2012, I take an affective, strengths based, approach to therapy. I practice cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, trauma-informed care, dialectical behavioral therapy, and mindfulness. I work with individuals and families, and I facilitate an LGBTQ+ inclusive group for college-aged young women and non-binary persons. My style of therapy is centered, relaxed, and collaborative. It is vital to my practice that clients know they are talking to a real human being, and my client-therapist relationships are built on mutual trust and safety. I believe that mental healthcare should be holistic. To get at the whole person, I like to explore the interplay between movement, nutrition, sleep, and time spent in nature. And because mental health impacts so much of our lives, I often advocate for my clients and help coordinate support with other academic and healthcare professionals. I strongly believe that mental healthcare should be accessible and easy to navigate for everyone. I welcome clients from all communities, backgrounds, and walks of life. Outside of my home office, I am an avid hiker and eater of takeout. I’m learning to surf, and my favorite part of every day is spending time with my sixteen-year-old wiener dog.

Psychologist
Whittier, CA

Pragmatic Solutions Psychotherapy is an individual practice founded to bring quality treatment to adults struggling with childhood onset trauma, adult trauma, depression, anxiety, distress related to health conditions, difficulty adjusting to major life issues, problems with self-worth, relationship issues, and more. I practice from a trauma-informed approach and can help you overcome early life stressors that may continue to bother you in your relationships with others and in your daily functioning. Much of the distress in dealing with mental health struggles comes from a lack of knowledge about the disorder you are experiencing, symptoms associated with it, and how to confront these symptoms in a way that brings about healing and growth. As my name suggests, I like to provide practical and tangible skills clients can use out of the office to help bring about change.

Psychologist
San Diego, CA

I have provided therapy to many undergraduate and graduate students at UC San Diego for over 17 years. I have helped people struggling with a wide range of issues, such as depression, anxiety, academic and relationship concerns, trauma, and concerns related to identity (e.g., racial / sexual / gender). In addition, I have worked particularly closely with international students / foreigners, and LGBTQ+ folks. My approach to therapy is warm and supportive, as well as practical. I care about social justice issues and find that these are often relevant to the distress that people experience. In therapy, we will explore the roots of your distress and work on tools and coping strategies to help you overcome the challenges you face. I do this work in individual therapy and in couples therapy. I look forward to meeting with you. I know you want to feel better soon, and I am ready to help you with that! Please check my website www.rinaschul.com for more information.

Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Gainesville, FL

I am a deep heart healer. Clients come to me to support in clearing and transforming the parts of them which are deeply wounded. I work with clients from an intuitive and trauma-informed perspective. My work extends beyond the mental and emotional into the energetic and spiritual realms. I believe we all carry trauma whether it is collective, individual, or ancestral. I connect with clients throughout the lifespan. Words are one source of healing, but healing can also occur without words. Through creativity, play, and energy psychology techniques, we can shift and heal. We can experience deep healing as a child, adolescent, and adult. Whatever you are holding, you do not need to hold it alone. Your whole self is welcome. Nature is my greatest teacher. I often find answers that inspire and guide the way I work and live in nature. Working with me, opens you to rest in your own truth, move through deep healing, and return to connection – internally and beyond. I would be grateful to walk with you during this part of your journey.
