From the second we hit adolescence, we are in a near state of constant transition. That doesn't stop when we hit what society considers to be "adulthood." When we hit college, the world expects us to magically become fully functioning adults. But we are dealing with one of the biggest transitions yet, and mostly on our own. We might be experiencing things such as transitioning from living at home, to living on our own. Relying on family for financial support to having to support ourselves. Having a secure and safe social circle to having to start again finding our "people." Balancing classes, work, social obligations, and self-care. Deciding if we want to carry forward the identity we held onto in adolescence into adulthood, or reinvent ourselves. Living in the moment and enjoying our experience while constantly planning our futures and making plans for when we REALLY hit adulthood. And doing all of this completely untethered from the safety and security we once knew. College is a lot. Period. It's normal to struggle through some of this, and to need some extra support in managing it all. I speak from experience. I faced a lot of challenges in college that tested my mental health. A close family member passed away two months into my freshman year, and navigating my grief amidst my difficult college classes challenged my focus and caused my grades to slip. I had what I lovingly call a "mental breakdown" returning from spring break my sophmore year of college, when I literally couldn't stop crying for a week straight for no apparent reason. Did I reach out for professional support, you may wonder? You bet I did! I met with a counselor at my college who helped me understand that I was feeling very isolated and helped me figure out some steps I could take to feel less alone. In the end, I found my "people," who are still my best friends nearly 20 years later, and had an amazing college experience. I am so glad I reached out for support, and persevered through that challenge. I specialize in supporting anxiety, depression, difficult transitions, navigating family and social conflict, and simply finding your place in this world. Sometimes we know we need therapy, but we're not really sure what for, and I am happy to lend an ear to what you are experiencing, and help you find your way, regardless of any labels. It takes strength to reach out for help, especially during a period of life you are expected to be grown up and independent. But there is no point in life during which you should ever feel ashamed to seek help. College can be an amazing and formative time, and managing your emotional and mental health can help you access all of the beautiful experiences available to you. Please don't hesitate to reach out for any reason at all. I'm looking forward to working with you!

You might feel like you're always searching for the thing, the right practice, the perfect insight, the magic fix that will finally make you feel whole, real, or enough. You’ve read all the books, done all the self-help, and still feel stuck in the same patterns, disconnected from yourself and the world around you. Or maybe you’re painfully aware of all your struggles but don’t know how to move forward. Here’s the truth: you don’t need to be fixed. Healing isn’t about doing more, working harder, or becoming someone different. It starts with being, with slowing down, noticing, and meeting yourself with curiosity rather than criticism I help clients shift from doing to being by building non-judgmental awareness and self-acceptance. This becomes solid ground from which real change can emerge. Using mindfulness, relational and bodily awareness we’ll explore how to soften survival patterns, expand your capacity to be with yourself, and cultivate a sense of aliveness, connection, and trust. I offer a grounded, relational space where we move with our patterns, not against them. Together, we’ll explore how your nervous system has adapted to past experiences and how to build skills that work with your unique body and life. If this resonates, reach out for a free consultation.I’d love to connect. I meet virtually and accept Medicaid and private pay

You want people to think you have it all together, but inside you feel paralyzed with anxiety. You never feel good enough, smart enough, productive enough, etc., can't make decisions, relate accomplishments to worthiness and love, struggle with saying “No,” and can’t find the right balance between work/life. You're exhausted and overwhelmed. You might not even remember a time things didn’t feel this way. But one thing is for sure: you’re ready for some relief. You’re ready to quiet your mind. You’re ready to embrace discomfort now so you can feel confident in yourself later. Most of all, you’re ready to take control of your anxiety. Clients come to me looking for a therapist who can relate to them because therapy should be a place where you feel seen and understood. Sessions are about more than just talking; we will explore how stress affects both your mind & body so you can experience peace again. And we always go at your pace, never pushing to a place you don’t feel ready to be. As an experienced anxiety therapist, I believe that you are capable of managing how you respond to stressful situations. You don’t have to continue feeling overwhelmed, and you don’t have to do it alone. Call me today for a free 15-minute consultation. I can’t wait to hear from you.

I work with college students and young adults who feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, overthinking, performance pressure, and emotional shutdown — even when they are capable and motivated. Many of the students I support struggle with test anxiety, presentations, interviews, perfectionism, panic symptoms, or the sense that their nervous system goes into “fight or flight” under pressure. Others experience anxiety and depression together, which can affect motivation, focus, and connection. My approach is neuroscience-informed and practical. I use evidence-based therapies including EMDR, ACT, CBT, Polyvagal-informed therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies to help clients regulate their nervous system, reduce reactivity, and build confidence in real-world situations. I provide a supportive, structured space where students can develop tools to manage stress, improve emotional regulation, and move forward with greater clarity and resilience

You’re carrying a lot right now. Maybe it feels like everything is too much, or maybe you just can’t quite name what feels off, only that something isn’t working the way it used to. You might be standing at a crossroads, unsure which way to go, or trying to move forward while feeling stuck in place. That uncertainty can be exhausting. Therapy is a place where you don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t have to show up with a plan, just a willingness to begin. Together, we’ll slow things down to explore what’s weighing on you, uncover what matters most, and find a way to move forward. I offer individual therapy for folks who are navigating difficult life transitions, exploring their identity, processing complex trauma, or just curious about how their lived experiences shape how they move through the world.
