Therapists for college students near 80204
Welcome. My name is Nicole. I am a Colorado native, runner, dog mom, and therapist. My passion is for working with clients as they navigate relationships and patterns of behavior that interfere with their enjoyment of life. I prefer when I can meet with my clients in person but understand that counseling needs to be accessible and convenient for you to be invested, so I make sure that telehealth is an option, as well. I specialize in working with trauma, attachment wounding, and mood disorders. Please take a few minutes to visit my website. I'd love to chat to see if I can be a good fit for your therapy needs.

A Stoa Therapy provider. For most families, finding a qualified speech-language pathologist means long waitlists, limited local options, and clinics that don't take their insurance. For adults navigating a voice disorder or recovering from a stroke, the barriers are just as real. We built Stoa Therapy to solve that. By delivering care over telehealth and working directly with insurance, we connect patients across Virginia, Colorado, Illinois, and Louisiana with SLPs who have specialized training in exactly what they need. The result is care that's easier to start, easier to sustain, and genuinely effective. Get matched, visit: https://stoa-therapy.com/
I am passionate about my work and aim to build a collaborative partnership with my clients, fostering transformation, fulfillment, and growth. I believe in establishing trust and letting the present moment guide the therapeutic process. I work toward developing a deeper understanding of how our body sensations, mind, and emotions shape our sense of well-being. Throughout my 25 years of experience, I have worked with a wide range of counseling and therapy modalities. I'm bilingual in English and Hebrew and can offer services in both languages. One of the most important elements of therapy is finding the right fit. To explore whether working with me feels right for you, please email me at ornapele@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi, I’m Jose Mathew, DBH, LCSW, LAC, CCTP I’m the founder of Mountain Valley Behavioral Health, and I believe therapy works best when people feel safe, understood, and genuinely supported rather than judged or rushed into anything. Over the past decade, I’ve worked with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, substance use, burnout, relationship stress, and major life transitions. Many of the people I work with carry more than they show on the surface. They may feel emotionally exhausted, disconnected, overwhelmed, stuck in survival mode, or unsure where to begin. My role is to help create space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and work toward meaningful change together. My approach to therapy is collaborative, grounded, and practical. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model. Every person has a unique story, stressors, and strengths. I work to understand the full picture—including emotional health, nervous system regulation, trauma history, relationships, physical health, and daily stress—so treatment feels personalized and relevant to your life. I use an integrated, trauma-informed approach that combines evidence-based therapies with authentic human connection. Depending on your needs, our work may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, EMDR-informed interventions, mindfulness, nervous system regulation strategies, and practical tools to improve emotional balance, communication, and coping skills. I also understand that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable, especially if you’ve spent a long time holding things together on your own. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Therapy is not about being “broken.” It’s about finding a place to process what you’ve been carrying, better understand yourself, and build healthier ways to move forward. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, trauma, stress, substance use, relationship challenges, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life, my goal is to help you feel supported, empowered, and more connected to yourself and others. Areas I Commonly Work With • Trauma & PTSD • Anxiety & Chronic Stress • Depression & Emotional Burnout • Substance Use & Recovery • Co-Occurring Mental Health Concerns • Relationship & Communication Challenges • Family Conflict • Nervous System Dysregulation • Men’s Mental Health • Life Transitions & Identity Stress • Integrated Behavioral Health Treatment Approaches • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) • Trauma-Informed Therapy • Motivational Interviewing • EMDR-Informed Interventions • Strengths-Based Therapy • Mindfulness & Somatic Strategies • Integrated Behavioral Health Care Credentials • Doctor of Behavioral Health (DBH) • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) • Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) • Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) • EMDR-Trained (EMDR-T) • Certified Clinical Trauma Professional II (CCTP-II) A Final Thought I believe healing happens through connection, honesty, and learning to work with yourself rather than against yourself. Therapy is not about perfection; it’s about creating sustainable change, improving quality of life, and helping you feel more grounded, present, and capable in your day-to-day life.
Hi! As a clinically-trained therapist, I want you to know that the struggles you face and the traumas you have experienced do not have to define you. You have the ability to create a new path for yourself, to live the life you really want to live. I would love to help you create that life. As a Christian counselor, I believe God created perfection and placed it all in the Garden of Eden. Unfortunately, sin entered the picture and people have been struggling with the effects of sin ever since. Sometimes that struggle is beyond our resources and understanding. We need to have someone help us through life's troubles. I work with adults, couples, and teenagers. I am interested in helping my clients deal with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, spiritual issues, marriage issues, trauma, and others. My husband and I have been in church ministry for over 40 years. We've seen a lot. While I am passionate about my own spiritual walk, I do respect the journey each person is on. It is not my place to dictate to you how your walk should look. God is big enough to handle that part all by himself. I am married to a pastor, have two adult children, and one son-in-law. I dearly love spending time with my family and sometimes try to do a craft project.
Who knew it would be so difficult to make it on your own, develop new relationships, and face the stresses of your late teens, 20s or 30s? Addressing struggles as you become an adult can present you with immediate and urgent challenges related to family, relationships, money, work, school, and confusion with your overall life path. This period of time is filled with moving from one place to another, sometimes one of familiarity to another one that feels totally foreign. Shifting responsibilities and demands at school or work can certainly cause confusion, self-doubt, and feeling overwhelmed. With these often turbulent years as a backdrop, you might begin to experience new distress that you’ve never felt before or knew existed. The onset of several mental health conditions typically show-up or are now seen as a problem during this time. Many have found that by working with me, they're able to tackle these unfamiliar and unhealthy events head on. This important life stage sets the foundation for the rest of your life; don't feel like you have to go it alone. I founded Grandview Therapy and Consulting, LLC. to provide individual therapy to those grappling with the challenges of adulthood. If you believe I may be a good fit to start you on a path of wellness, I encourage you to visit my website.

Starting college can be such an exciting time AND it is not always easy. Would meds be helpful for you? While not always indicated, when they are, psychiatric medication can be a life saver. I can help you figure out if psychiatric meds would be supportive for you. This could be the gift to yourself that would have you feeling more open to all of the amazing opportunities that college life has to offer… and to your most full & incredible life. My goal is for you to feel more like yourself again. I look forward to hearing from you.
You’re doing your best to manage, but something still feels stuck. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, painful past experiences, relationship struggles, or neurodivergence, these challenges can feel overwhelming. You’re tired of just getting by and want relief, clarity, and a deeper sense of purpose and stability. Through therapy, we'll explore how past experiences shape present dynamics and create space for decisions rooted in intentionality. You’re not interested in surface-level fixes—you’re ready to understand yourself more deeply, shift long-standing patterns, and feel more grounded and connected in your life and relationships. I offer insight therapy that helps build resilience, deepen emotional awareness, and encourage healthier ways of relating to yourself and others. Together, we create a supportive space for reflection and growth, guiding you toward meaningful change and greater well-being. My approach is warm, intuitive, and genuine—rooted in curiosity, trust, and openness. Starting therapy is a courageous step toward clarity and self-understanding. I offer a compassionate, attentive space where every part of you is welcomed—including the parts you're still making sense of or learning to embrace. If you're ready to open yourself to authentic change, I invite you to reach out. We can begin that transformation, together.
Hi there! I’m Erin Hernandez and I am a licensed psychotherapist (LPC). I believe that our bodies are a vehicle for our spirit. It is our human right to feel safe, loved and seen as who we really are. When we feel these three things we are able to fully inhabit our vehicle (our body) and use it for transformation. I am not currently accepting insurance. Please check here or my website for session rates. I offer free 15 minute phone or zoom consultations and you can schedule that through my website. When scheduling your consultation, please email or text me if you prefer your consultation to happen over zoom.

"I can't find meaning in life" ... "I don't know how to be real with myself or those around me" ... "I don’t feel connected to my partner anymore." Everyone wants to feel connected. We yearn to feel we belong and have meaning in who we are and what we do. Yet, it is not always that easy. I get it. However, I believe therapy can be a space for us to work together on finding meaning and developing the relationships you want. That is why I am here. To see you, to hear your voice, to understand your story, and to walk alongside you to get to where you want to go. Above all else, I believe in utilizing a bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach to counseling to understand all of who you are--your thoughts, feelings, somatic experiences, desires, beliefs, and relationships. This way, you can become more aligned with your heart, mind, and body, working together to achieve your goals. In addition, I believe in using your values, purpose, and "why's" to help you align what you are doing and want to do with why you want to do it. As Friedrich Nietzsche states, "He who has a why to live can bear almost any how."
I believe that seeking out therapy is a courageous step in working towards overall wellness and positive mental health. I hope to provide a space for individuals to present their thoughts and needs in a validating and understanding environment. I specialize with working with "emerging adults" those transitioning into college, their first job, trade school or maybe just graduated! Transitions can be hard and scary and I hope to provide a space that cultivates acceptance, empathy, and empowerment. I utilize different techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, strength-based therapy, and solution focused therapy in supporting clients. I would love to speak further with you about what brought you to seek out counseling. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to reach out through email to set up a free phone consultation. I would love to support you through this process!
