Do you ever have trouble processing and experiencing emotion? Maybe you have heard messages your whole life telling you to shove down your feelings? Hi! My name is Evan (he/him), and I am a therapist working in Fort Collins CO! I am passionate about helping male-identifying people get more in touch with their emotional processes. However, I work with people regardless of gender identity! As a man, I know all too well the harmful messages that tell people to ignore how they feel. I want to help you grow and heal while staying present with your emotions!
I believe our world can be so fast-paced and suffers from a lack of presence. This can result in isolation, not feeling heard, or feelings of overwhelm and stress. If you need a place to set your burdens down for a moment, I am able to give you that support. I feel equipped to help you if you are struggling with any trauma, grief, attachment wounds, neurodiversity, career guidance, anxiety/depression, or men's/women's/general identity challenges. If you are feeling burdened or hurt, you are not alone. I encourage you to reach out to me. Even if we are not a good fit, I enjoy helping you to find a therapist who is!
Reaching HOPE believes that together we can end the cycle of trauma. It is our mission to help individuals heal from trauma by providing a holistic approach to mental health services that address individual, relational and systemic healing, ultimately fortifying the health of communities for generations to come.

I have worked in college/university counseling centers for most of my career, and love serving both undergraduate and graduate students with a variety of mental health concerns.
My name is Jorge Flores (he/him/él) and I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in Colorado. I provide individual counseling virtually to adults aged 18 to 65 in English and Spanish. I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space for adults to explore challenges such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, religious trauma, LGBT+ issues, and immigration-related stress. Using a combination of mindfulness techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I help clients navigate personal struggles, build emotional resilience, and develop healthier coping strategies for managing stress, relationships, career pressures, and emotional well-being.

Being in college is not like any other time in your life. Some parts of it can be just great and others very challenging and even completely overwhelming at times. It is not at all uncommon for college students to feel anxious, depressed, uncertain about themselves and the future, or to find themselves very challenged by academics, personal identity, thinking of the future, and dealing with complicated relationships of all kinds. I get it! I worked in two university counseling centers before going into private practice and developed a lot of respect for the challenges facing college students. You guys are one of my favorite groups of people to work with, too, because you are in this unique position of usually being fairly newly out of your family home, able to make more choices on your own, and have your whole lives ahead of you to shape the way you want them to be--scary though that is. I'm happy to help you if I can.

Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or disconnected? You’re not alone and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. I work best with college and graduate students who are carrying a lot on their shoulders, even if it doesn’t always show on the outside. Many of the students I support are struggling with anxiety, stress, or burnout. They may be navigating big life transitions like starting college, transferring, or getting close to graduation. Some are dealing with family stress, relationship challenges, or attachment issues. Others are carrying the impact of past trauma or loss. Many feel disconnected from themselves and unsure of who they are or what direction they want to take. You might look high-functioning on the outside but feel exhausted, overwhelmed, or numb on the inside. You may be the one everyone depends on, yet you rarely feel supported yourself. If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place. My approach is warm, grounded, and trauma-informed. That means we go at your pace, focus on helping your nervous system feel safer, and work on real-life tools you can actually use between sessions. You do not need to have the right words or a clear goal before starting. Showing up as you are is enough. If you are a student who wants to feel more steady, more connected, and more like yourself again, I would love to support you.
You want better relationships with your partner, your family, and most importantly, with yourself. Although you've found success in many areas of life, you're struggling to adjust to a recent life change like a move to a new place, the birth of a child, or the start or end of an important relationship. Maybe you've found yourself experiencing more stress than you're used to, you're close to burnout, or you find it really difficult to prioritize your own sense of well-being over others. If any of this sounds familiar to you, I would love to talk with you and learn more about your goals. I work with adults and couples who are motivated to know themselves in a deeper and more compassionate way, and are ready to experience real success during their time in therapy. I can help you get un-stuck and create opportunities for you to tap into your own curiosity, compassion, and creativity so that you’re able to have the life and relationships that you want. My goal is for you to experience positive change from our first session together. I have limited availability for telehealth appointments for adults and couples. Please reach out to inquire about current availability and schedule your first session! *INSURANCE & MEDICAID NOT ACCEPTED*, however you may use credit cards or HSA/FSA cards to pay for your sessions. Fees: Initial Consultation by request (15 min): Free Individuals (50 min) $165 Couples or Families (50 min) $175 Currently offering virtual appointments
