“To heal is to touch with love that which we previously touched with fear.” – Buddhist proverb As a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), I provide a holistic, evidence-informed approach to therapy, helping adults navigate OCD, trauma, anxiety, and relationship challenges with greater clarity and self-trust. I have specialized training in trauma and substance use counseling, and I am particularly passionate about supporting individuals managing OCD, including those experiencing intrusive thoughts and compulsive patterns that feel difficult to break. My work is strongly rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), supporting clients inbuilding psychological flexibility, reducing avoidance, and reconnecting with what matters most to them. I am also currently engaged in intensive training in Exposure and Response Prevention(ERP) to further strengthen my work with OCD. I tailor each session to the individual, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic approaches to address both the mental and physiological impacts of stress and trauma. As a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), I incorporate mind–body awareness into therapy in a clinically grounded way, drawing from breathwork, nervous system regulation, present-moment attention. For clients interested in a more integrative approach, this can support deeper awareness and regulation without requiring prior experience in yoga or meditation. I place a strong emphasis on both insight and application, so our work goes beyond simply processing experiences. While there is always space for you to feel heard and supported, therapy with me is also focused on helping you build practical skills, deepen self-understanding, and create meaningful shifts in your day-to-day life. I approach therapy as a collaborative and supportive process, where you can feel both challenged and understood. Whether you are working through intrusive thoughts, healing from past experiences, navigating complex relationships, or seeking a stronger sense of alignment in your life, we will move at a pace that feels steady and sustainable. My goal is to help you build the skills, insight, and resilience needed to create meaningful, lasting change. Outside of the therapy room, you can usually find me spending time with my dog, Sebastian, deep in my sourdough era, cooking something new, or planning my next trip. I am also a big music lover and really value the small, grounding moments in everyday life.
Life can feel overwhelming when you are anxious, disconnected, navigating a transition, or unsure how to move forward. I believe therapy can be a supportive space for self-discovery, healing, and growth. My goal is to create a collaborative, nonjudgmental environment where you can better understand yourself, explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful and aligned with your values. Therapy is not about having everything figured out before you begin. It is a place to start where you are, feel supported, and take meaningful steps toward the life you want to build. My approach is grounded in psychodynamic therapy and integrates DBT, ACT, person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused strategies. I take a holistic, culturally responsive view of therapy, recognizing how personal, relational, cultural, and social experiences shape mental health. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, self-esteem challenges, identity exploration, and personal growth. Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, and I aim to meet clients with warmth, curiosity, and respect as we work together toward insight, resilience, and meaningful change.

Lately, you might feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve you—whether it’s anxiety, a painful relationship with food and your body, or the weight of living in a body that’s constantly in survival mode. You’ve learned how to keep going, but something still feels heavy or unfinished. You want to feel more at home in yourself—more grounded, more free. In our work together, we’ll slow down, listen to your nervous system, and gently untangle what’s been holding you back. Hi, I am Ebony Booker, a Social Work graduate from Fordham University and Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Georgia. More specifically I am someone who helps to restore balance when life’s most important priorities can get you off track. Being able to put the pieces together when things fall apart has been my niche in working with others over the past two decades. I understand what it is like to have the daily demands of work, family, relationships, school, extracurricular activities all vying for the same amount of attention in one day. It can seem like they are stacking up like a Jenga puzzle. During this time, when demands are high and your energy is low it may feel like things are off balance. From my many years in the field working with individuals I know that you can get back to a sense of oneness and focus. If you are ready to do the work, you will be surprised and encouraged at how much you are capable of. By implementing the necessary tools to manage day to day stressors. The growth you see will be something you did not know existed. I know that each one of us can make the change in our lives. If you are ready to understand what is holding you back and to carve a path out to begin your journey, then give me a call at 404-707-5743 or drop me an email at essentialwellnessandconsulting@gmail.com.
Welcome! I help young women who feel unfulfilled, overwhelmed, anxious, and who take on too much because they struggle to say "no." Maybe you notice you place a lot of pressure on yourself and are constantly worried about others figuring out you feel like a mess and an imposter on the inside. This stress, anxiety, and uncertainty has been building up and interfering with your ability to engage in life and feel connected and happy. In therapy, we can work on exploring the root of what brings you to therapy and build skills that help you communicate more effectively, feel more confident and emotionally balanced, and feel more grounded and connected to yourself and others. We go at your pace and prioritize your goals, though I may challenge you here and there if I see you underestimating yourself or falling back into old behaviors. If you're interested in finding out more about my style, you can check out my website. I offer free 15 minute phone consultations so we can chat and see if we'd be a good fit before you schedule your initial session. I'd love to hear from you! *Group* I also offer a regular Therapeutic Book Club, in which we read the latest mental health/wellness books, and I offer a women's process group for women with anxiety.
