My treatment focus is on neurodivergent issues and gifted learners. Therapeutic style is evidenced and strength based, multiculturally sensitive, solutions oriented, client centered, and collaborative. You are the expert on you. My role is to facilitate and support an awareness of how to implement changes to overcome unhelpful patterns in thinking and decision making. I strive to see the whole person not just a list of symptoms. Understanding your unique background is key because therapy is not a cookie-cutter approach. Currently in network with Aetna, Kaiser Permanente, Lyra Health, SpringHealth, Sutter EAP, and Cigna in certain states. I am a LMFT in California, Hawaii, Massachusetts, and Virginia, LPCC in California, and Registered Out-of-State Telehealth Provider for Florida, South Carolina and Vermont.
My intention as a psychotherapist is to create a safe and supportive environment in which people can learn and share more about themselves, and in so doing, ease their suffering and create possibilities of positive movement and change in their lives. I am grounded in a relational and psychodynamic approach. This means that I am attuned to building a respectful interactive relationship, and that I bring an awareness of the deep impact of the past on people's present lives. My practice is diverse, with a specialization in trauma focused psychotherapy. Other areas of expertise are the treatment of depression, grief and loss, anxiety, relational issues, emotional regulation, and difficulties with family of origin.
At Kiwi Recovery, you’ll find specialized clinical care with the goal of helping adolescents and young adults find sustainable pathways toward recovery. We offer effective, evidence-based outpatient behavioral health treatment in our Concord center. Behavioral health and addiction issues can seem overwhelming. Adolescents and young adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other conditions may turn to drugs and alcohol for relief. However, this often leads to a cycle of dependence and addiction. Kiwi Recovery is here to break this cycle. We provide individualized treatment plans backed by evidence-based practices and the most up-to-date research, and our team is passionate about helping this population move toward recovery.

We work best with students who feel deeply and think a lot. Many of the students we support are navigating major life changes, identity questions, relationship challenges, or the pressure to succeed while feeling like they are falling behind inside. If you have ever felt like you are carrying a lot beneath the surface or trying to make sense of big emotions and experiences, you are not alone. In therapy, we create a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and build the tools to move through life with more self-awareness and confidence.

Hi! I'm Yasmine. I work clinically with adolescents, teenagers, and young adults grappling with issues ranging from anxiety to trauma to cultural identity shifts. Therapy creates a space to better understand ourselves and the way our past impacts our present. In sessions, I work with clients to uncover patterns that contribute to an overall feeling of dissatisfaction in life. This provides the roadmap to help clients build a life that feels full, joyful, and meaningful. Clients tell me that I am warm, non-judgemental, and bring a welcome sense of humor into sessions. Therapy can be hard work. But it is work that I love doing and something that I take very seriously. My practice is informed by my interest in psychology, sociology, anthropology, and feminist studies. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology from Brown University and my Master's in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. In the past decade, I have lived in Senegal, Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Lebanon, and I bring a multicultural perspective into the therapeutic space.

I have experience working with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, major life transitions, and burnout among other areas. I offer a calm, warm, and non-judgmental presence to those I work with. I tend to think creatively and enjoy deepening a sense of understanding by using art therapy or expressive therapies when appropriate. I enjoy helping others face their fears, learn new skills to tackle negative thoughts, and better understand how to process their emotions. I also have experience working with those navigating spiritual issues within the Christian faith. I offer compassion, understanding, and empathy as I work alongside those experiencing stressful life events, difficult emotions, or mental health struggles. I often use CBT and ERP for anxiety, depression, and OCD. However, I cater my treatment to each individual to best meet their needs.
