Lotus Oasis Mental Health Counseling PLLC
I’m a licensed psychologist based in New York City, working with young adults, adults, and couples who want to feel more grounded and connected in their lives. People often come to me for help with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, substance use, or the effects of past trauma. Others are simply looking for a better understanding of themselves and the patterns that keep showing up. As a gay therapist, I bring both personal and professional experience to my work with the LGBTQ+ community. I offer a space that’s affirming, open, and free of judgment—where you can be fully yourself. We’ll go at your pace, using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches that fit you as a person. My goal is to make therapy feel safe, collaborative, and genuinely helpful—so you can move toward greater clarity, confidence, and self-understanding.
My mission is to cultivate healthy, resilient, and connected athletes, coaches, and communities through trauma-informed, whole-person well-being. As a proud first-generation Korean-Filipina American, my journey as a former elite athlete and two decades as a psychotherapist shape how I approach personal growth and transformation. My approach integrates psychodynamic with trauma-informed, meditative, mindfulness, and mastery performance development for comprehensive healing and optimal performance. I’ve built my practice across New York City’s public, nonprofit, and private sectors, providing specialized training at institutions like NYU Medicine and Health and Hospitals while mentoring emerging practitioners from Columbia, NYU, and other leading programs. My experience as a first-gen Woman of Color, athlete, and parent enriches my therapeutic approach. Los Angeles born, New York City nested, I bring bi-coastal energy to my work, including co-hosting “Hahnacity”—a podcast focused on healing through storytelling—with Joy Hahn Silva Millora, former elite gymnast and now coach. Whether I’m cheering for the Lakers and Dodgers or connecting with “The Steam Room” community, I live the connection between athletic mindset and psychological well-being.
I’m a licensed psychotherapist (LCSW) and former corporate attorney, now based in New York City. I work with students, young professionals, and emerging leaders who often feel capable and accomplished on the outside but unsettled or stuck internally. I provide depth-oriented, relational therapy, helping clients explore patterns in relationships, identity, and emotional life. My work is informed by attachment, parts-based approaches (IFS), and somatic awareness, with extensive experience supporting trauma survivors. In our work together, I aim to create a reflective, safe space where you can explore what’s really behind the surface of your experiences, without manuals, homework, or pressure. I pay close attention to the relational dynamics between us, while giving you room to wander and discover. I work with adults, couples, and emerging adults, and I also facilitate two small support groups: one for male survivors of childhood sexual abuse and one for new therapists navigating their early clinical work.
I work especially well with clients who think deeply, feel intensely, and are tired of talking in circles—whether you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, low mood, or big life transitions. My approach blends evidence-informed psychotherapy with optional art-based work to help you access emotions, shift patterns, and build steadier self-trust. You don’t need to be “creative” to benefit—this is about expression and insight, not making something perfect.
Elizabeth Sage Counseling specializes in working with students who struggle with OCD, perfectionism, excoriation disorder, anxiety, and relationship issues(communication coaching). From funny illustrations to free e-books we give many resources individualized to how you best absorb information. The goal of therapy is to help you NOT need therapy anymore. Expect a good balance of humor, creativity, and motivation to help you create the life you want outside of your fears.
I'm so glad you've started this journey to improve your mental wellbeing. I know how difficult beginnings can be—I’ve worked with a number of first-time and returning therapy clients from backgrounds as diverse as New York City itself. I particularly enjoy working with LGBTQIA+ clients and people with disabilities and neurodivergences. I do my best to honor your cultural experience as we tackle some of life’s biggest challenges together: depression and anxiety, trauma and grief, chronic illness and medical issues, relationship difficulties and life transitions, and problematic drug use or other behaviors that may no longer be serving you. My own career began in worker organizing, then moved into community social work and social policy research. I have a deep appreciation for how relationships and social realities impact mental health and prioritize a relational and social change-oriented approach. Disability justice, racial justice, and gender justice are core tenets of my practice. My work is also influenced by my own experiences as a therapy client: I strive to be as transparent as possible about what we’re doing and why, so you can be a full partner on the journey and never feel left in the dark. Above all, I am person-centered: I start by learning who you are as an individual, your strengths and challenges, and then figure out which clinical approaches can work best for you. I often draw from Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and am pursuing further training in these modalities. I very much look forward to meeting you and taking this journey together!
I help clients navigate identity questions, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the emotional demands of high-stress environments. My therapeutic style is warm, welcoming, and deeply person-centered, ensuring that each individual feels seen, heard, and valued. In our work together, you can expect a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you feel understood and supported from the start. I use an eclectic, person-centered approach that integrates multiple therapeutic techniques to meet your unique needs. This includes specialized experience supporting adolescents, women, and individuals within the LGBTQ+ community. I also commonly work with healthcare providers managing burnout, compassion fatigue, and the pressures of caring for others. Therapy with me focuses on strengthening self-acceptance, building insight, and developing practical tools that support meaningful change. Clients often report feeling more grounded, clearer about who they are, and better able to navigate relationships, stressors, and major life decisions. My goal is to help you cultivate a sense of confidence, resilience, and alignment with the life you want to live.
I love working with students who care about their relationships and want to feel more connected—to partners, friends, or themselves. Many of the people I see are creative, thoughtful, and maybe a little unsure of where they’re headed next. Whether you’re dealing with relationship stress, an existential “what am I doing with my life?” moment, or just trying to communicate better, therapy can be a space to slow down and figure things out together.
I am a licensed Psychotherapist offering online therapy to individuals based in New York, and coaching services to clients around the globe. My eclectic training equips me to treat a wide range of issues that bring young adults into therapy, including anxiety, stress, trauma, depression, life transitions, work and relationship issues and grief. My expertise in somatic approaches supports clients in wholeness and healing. I offer specialized therapy for creatives, exploring the relationship between trauma healing, creativity and performance expansion. My goal is to help clients heal, grow, and fulfill their purpose and potential. For those ready to move beyond therapy, wellness coaching services offer a focused, accountable and inspiring space for you to invest in and explore your wellbeing, creativity and career success, alongside removing any blocks that may be holding you back in these areas. I believe that everyone deserves a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated ally to support them during times of transition or when life gets complicated, so wherever you are in your journey, I can help guide you in your next steps towards deeper healing and transformation.
Every person is unique, each with their own narratives and perspectives. I subscribe to the belief that a new therapy is constructed for each person I work with. From the outset of treatment on through a process of self-discovery— challenging circumstances, past traumas, and negative belief structures lay the groundwork for seeds of strength and growth. All individuals possess the capacity to change their lives and I will work with you to process adversity and conflict into resilience and peace. I like to tailor my method to the person sitting across from me, though I do specialize in an approach which encompasses psychodynamic perspectives and behavioral techniques. These tend to help clients explore unconscious patterns and enactments while offering practical tools for immediate relief from issues such as anger, grief, depression, and anxiety. In treatment, I am a human first and a therapist second. I am committed to providing a safe, supportive environment for you to explore the vulnerabilities which lie beneath anxious manifestations. I am warm, curious, direct, and I bring a sense of humor to discussions focused around how you see your multifaceted self in the myriad roles you inhabit.

I use a warm and collaborative approach grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help my clients navigate life transitions, identity development, and manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, and OCD. My goal is to help each person leave sessions with greater insight, practical tools, and an increased confidence in themselves and their ability to reach their goals. My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I believe meaningful change happens when people feel safe, supported, and empowered to better understand themselves and who they want to become. I especially enjoy working with adolescents and young adults as they navigate one of life's most transformative periods. I have experience supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD and OCD-related symptoms, and life transitions. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or trying to make sense of where you are in life, I strive to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and comfortable being your authentic self. My style is both validating and gently challenging. After we have established trust and safety, I am not afraid to ask difficult questions that encourage deeper reflection and growth. My hope is that every session leaves you with something tangible—whether it is a new strategy, meaningful insight, different perspective, or practical tool you can carry with you outside of therapy. My goal is to help you build resilience, trust yourself more deeply, and feel more equipped to navigate whatever comes next.
I truly believe in the healing that results from having a trusting and nurturing space to explore insights, desires, strengths, and challenges. I am LGBTQIA+ and non-monogamy affirming, and have experience in helping people through the coming out process. I also help people who are dealing with life transitions, anxiety, depression, and processing trauma. During sessions, I use an approach called Internal Family Systems (IFS), which will help you understand symptoms and process trauma at a pace that feels right for you. Through this lens, I will help you connect with your inner wisdom, self-compassion, and clarity. I will also help you develop a felt sense of how emotions show up in your body, and how you can use this connection towards symptom relief. The search for a therapist can be stressful and tiring, but I encourage you to stay connected to yourself as you get a sense of who might be a good fit - even if it takes a few tries! If my profile resonates with you, please feel free to reach out for a free 15-minute video consultation. Looking forward to connecting!

I specialize in individual therapy for adolescents and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, stress management and life transitions. I also provide support around understanding and making meaning from psychedelic experiences. As your therapist, my priority will be to foster a non-judgmental environment where you feel safe and validated so that you can be empowered to do the hard work to make changes in your life. I work with college students, young adults, and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, and the stress that can come with school, relationships, identity, and uncertainty about the future. I’m especially passionate about supporting young adults through the often-overwhelming transition from college to the “real world” — whether that means coping with job-search stress, navigating career pressure, adjusting to new responsibilities, or trying to make sense of who you are outside of school. I also help clients process loss of identity during major life changes, such as graduating, stepping away from athletics, changing roles, or leaving behind a version of themselves that once felt familiar. I also specialize in supporting expats and individuals living abroad who may be facing loneliness, culture adjustment, and the emotional complexity of feeling caught between worlds. My approach to therapy is holistic, collaborative, and personalized. I draw from mindfulness and wellness-based strategies when helpful, and I tailor the work to each client’s goals, needs, and lived experiences. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, burnt out, or simply unsure of what’s next, I strive to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.

I treat clients who have anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, and transitional issues that cause identity crisis. I also work with Neurodivergent clients including clients who are autistic (ASD). My clients often struggle with their high standards, perfectionism, and wanting to please others. I have a very diverse clientele that includes LGBTQ+, AAPI, Arab Americans, Indian Americans, Pakistani/Bangladeshi Americans, and African Americans. My approach is, we are in this together. I have clients who know why they are seeking therapy, but many clients can’t articulate the specific reason. You don’t need to have a specific reason, but you sought out help because you are ready to address something in your life. I focus on your strengths and skills that can help you address your problems. My approach is to have an open and organic conversation with you while being non judgmental, patient, and actively listening. My clients have said that my interactive style, positive attitude, and humor are reasons they continue to see me. In our initial sessions, we will work to identify the issues you wish to discuss and how they impact your life. I value your perspective and life experience as key components of the therapeutic process. I am always willing to meet with a client for a free consultation via phone or video.
