Jennifer attended New York University, where she earned her master’s degree in Mental Health and Wellness Counseling. Prior to her graduate work, Jennifer attended Stanford University, where she not only earned her bachelor’s degree in International Relations but was also a four-year scholar-athlete and captain of the women’s soccer team. Following her undergraduate studies, she played professional soccer for the New York Power and then worked in the financial and pharmaceutical industries for nearly a decade. Jennifer views her work as a therapist as a privilege, and she finds incredible joy in this role. While she leans on a multitude of therapeutic approaches, she believes in using a collaborative approach, working as a team to awaken strengths and challenge distorted thinking, and developing practical tools to obtain optimal mental health. My mission as a counselor and educator is to provide a framework for my clients to achieve optimal mental health. Mental wellness, like physical wellness, requires quality care from the right clinician—the right clinician for your unique experiences, challenges, and goals. She meets each of her clients where they are on their respective mental health journey, whether they are experiencing symptoms for the first time, they were previously in treatment, or they are just interested in improving their mental wellness. Modalities Jennifer received supervised training in substance use counseling at Weill Cornell Medical College, Midtown Center for Treatment and Research. She is certified in motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques. She has also completed workshops in mindfulness-based stress reduction practices at the Albert Ellis Institute and in TEAM-CBT techniques at the Feeling Good Institute.

I am an experienced, long time psychotherapist, who helps create a nurturing environment that is warm, curious and non judgemental. I am focused on understanding the client and supporting the optimal healing process. I have an unconditional commitment to each of my clients to be open and honest, to be focused on their life-enhancing goals, and to work in a proactive manner to help them achieve these goals in the briefest possible time. No single approach works for everyone. Some issues may be addressed with a short-term, solution-focused approach. More complex issues may need a combination of approaches over a longer time.

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if you're used to handling everything on your own. Whether you're feeling anxious, emotionally drained, stuck in patterns you can't seem to break, or simply not feeling like yourself, you don't have to navigate it alone. I work with college students and young adults experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, depression, bipolar disorder, chronic illness, life transitions, relationship challenges, and overwhelming stress. Many of my clients are high achievers who appear to have everything together on the outside while struggling internally with self-doubt, perfectionism, or feeling emotionally exhausted. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, to help you better understand your thoughts and emotions, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to provide a space where you feel not only heard but truly understood. Together we'll work toward helping you feel more confident, resilient, and connected to the life you want to live.

Therapy is an important step to reach comfort with the uncomfortable. I am deeply committed to working with you to progress through difficult situations. I look forward to working with you to gain an understanding of the emotional challenges in front of you and collaborate to explore ways to mitigate these challenges. College is a time where we are often unsure of exactly what we are struggling with or why we feel overwhelmed by our emotional responses - I am here to work with you on how to proceed. I utilize an integrative approach informed by CBT, DBT, ACT, and relational therapeutic principles. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental, while occasionally using humor to illustrate understanding and develop strong bonds with my patients. I have extensive experience working with young adults and college students, as most of my work within my private practice centers on this developmental period. I am always available for free confidential consultations to address any questions or concerns.

I work with individual clients and couples to increase their self-awareness, self-compassion, health, wellness, and overall joy in their lives! I work with children, adolescents, and adults. I believe in each person's inherent goodness, right to individuality, and uniqueness. Each of us the keeper of our own life and only we know what is truly best for ourselves. And, we have the power to choose what is best! In the moments of indecision, when we apply love and self-compassion, we have all we need to make a decision. And sometimes, when everything falls apart, that is when perfection can set in. I work with clients with a variety of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, sexual health concerns, relationship difficulties, parenting, infertility, postpartum, communication difficulties, low energy, among others. I possess a PhD in Education and Counseling, a Master of Social Work degree, am trained in CBT, ISTDP, and am a trained sex therapist. Therapy is a place to feel safe, be who we are with no excuses needed. Creativity, laughter, sharing, and building relationships are what life is about. I use a variety of modalities and techniques that are personalized for each client, along with evidence based practices when appropriate. Life can be difficult, we don't have to go through it alone.

I specialize in helping adults heal from trauma, overcome anxiety, and relinquish their self-doubt. Your voice deserves to be heard and listened to. I would so appreciate the opportunity to engage in this therapeutic process with you. In my work, I provide trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centered therapy to my clients, while integrating an empathic, intersectional, and holistic approach. My practice is grounded in allowing my clients to explore all aspects of their identities while working through their life experiences. I offer a warm, non‑judgmental space where you can slow down, breathe, and explore what’s really happening beneath the surface. My approach is deeply trauma‑informed and grounded in the belief that healing happens at your pace, with safety and connection at the center. I support adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, low self‑esteem, caregiver burnout, and the emotional weight of complex family systems. My style is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from an integrative blend of EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, polyvagal‑informed work, CBT, and DBT. This flexibility allows us to work with both the mind and the body, helping you build grounding, resilience, and a deeper sense of self‑trust. Living with CPTSD myself, I understand how essential it is to feel truly seen and supported in therapy. I bring experience from inpatient psychiatric settings, where I worked with individuals facing acute mental health challenges and crisis situations. I’m especially passionate about supporting caregivers and those who tend to everyone else before themselves. I offer telehealth and in‑person sessions. My goal is to help you feel more empowered, more connected to yourself, and more able to imagine what’s possible for your life.

I’m passionate about supporting first‑generation students, students from marginalized backgrounds, and students of color, as they navigate the emotional, cultural, and academic pressures that come with being the first in their families to walk these paths. My goal is to help students build a more harmonious, grounded, and empowered experience during their time on campus. I work with individuals experiencing: • Adjustment‑related stress, including transitions into college or new environments • Cultural transitions and the unique pressures faced by first‑generation students • Distorted eating patterns, emotional overwhelm, and challenges with emotion regulation My therapeutic approach integrates DBT and multimodal strategies, always rooted in cultural humility and a commitment to centering each person’s lived experience. I strive to create a space where students feel understood, supported, and equipped to move toward their goals with clarity and confidence. The most efficient way to get started is by visiting my website, reviewing the FAQ section, and completing the new client interest form. This will give me all the information I will need to determine next steps. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your journey.
