I am a humanistic and relational therapist that is passionate about the power of human connection and strongly values the healing properties of the therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a warm and safe space where individuals can feel safe to explore difficult topics, believing that this is the first and most important step in the healing process. I recognize that the human experience is often deeply complex and painful, yet has the potential to be beautiful and fulfilling as well. My goal in working with people is to walk alongside them and help them to better understand themselves, gain insight, work through the more painful moments of the past, and discover their own capability to cope with and grow through life’s hardships. My approach to therapy is holistic, exploring the many components and intersecting areas of a person’s life. Additionally, I work to tailor each therapeutic experience to the individual, accounting for the unique needs of each person. I have experience working with trauma, substance use, anxiety, depression, identity issues, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I love utilizing humor, creativity, and mindfulness in session, as I believe tapping into these elements can be incredibly healing.
I am a mother of two college going kids and adult psychiatrist. I am well aware of the day to day challenges student face. I take a uplifting and problem solving approach with my patients. I think it is important to understand the root of the problem and how we can work towards a solution. I like to have a positive attitude and it brings me great pleasure to see my patients do better. I go at my patient's pace and my top priority is to help you.

Creating a space for someone to feel supported and heard is my first priority. The most important aspect of a therapeutic relationship is the dynamic between client and therapist. When you truly feel comfortable and understood by your therapist then that is when therapy can thrive. The goal in the work we do is to focus on assisting you in healing so that you are able to use the space and time we have to decipher what would work best for you to move forward. Therapy is a place for you to unwind, unload and have an opportunity to speak your thoughts out loud, reflect and make sense of how you would like to proceed away from stress, anxiety, anger, melancholy or behaviors that are no longer useful and yet challenging to change. I have worked in the field of HIV, substance use and mental health for over a decade. Primarily working in community health centers and non profit organizations, I have had the honor of providing mental health services to homeless men and women, adults who are actively using substances and unsure of what changes they would like to make, if any, and with homeless youth who are struggling with a severe mental illness. My graduate education and training was started and completed in the Bay Area where I also taught mindfulness meditation through a research study at UCSF. I am a Latino Bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in the state of New York. I specialize in working with people, in both English and Spanish, who are struggling with Substance Use, Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Sexual Identity, Coming out, Gender Identity & Transition, HIV-related issues, Relationship issues, Grief and Loss, Sexual Difficulties, Migration issues and adapting to a new country with a sensitivity to diverse cultural and spiritual backgrounds. In addition I also specialize in working with people who believe in non traditional sexual relationships and expressions. I am currently accepting new clients in the Flatiron District of New York City. If you are considering therapy or even just pondering on whether this is a right fit for you, please do not hesitate to contact me.
With 15 years’ experience as a bilingual Psychotherapist working with very diverse populations from adults to adolescents who experience depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD I learned that not everyone feels comfortable going to speak to a therapist in a traditional setting like an office. This is why I offer “Walk Talk Therapy” and mobile therapy. I want to eliminate as many barriers as possible for you to get the help you need. Just as we are all encouraged to exercise for our physical health, I believe everyone should connect with a professional therapist to strengthen one’s emotional health. Relationship Issues Self Esteem Stress Anger Management Anxiety Behavioral Issues Career Counseling Codependency Coping Skills Family Conflict Infidelity Life Coaching Life Transitions Marital and Premarital Men's Issues Parenting Peer Relationships Racial Identity Spirituality Fabián’s clinical experience includes: a college counseling center, an inpatient traumatic brain injury unit, mental health clinics, mobile crisis unit, substance abuse, HIV, family court and child protective services with a specialization in childhood sexual abuse and trauma. My goal as a therapist is to create a supportive environment for folks to explore their gender and sexuality. Perhaps you identify as queer, bi, lesbian, gay, pan, ace, trans, nonbinary, agender, poly, kinky, something else, all of the above, or nothing at all. You deserve to have a space where you can learn more about your identity without judgment or pressure. As a queer person who has sought out therapy myself, I know how challenging it can be to find an affirming therapist. Even if your identity isn’t central to your therapy goals, I will always aim to honor and validate every part of who you are in our work. My therapeutic style is collaborative and anti-oppressive. My approach is integrative, using tools from a variety of therapeutic modalities—relational, CBT, narrative, sex therapy—that are best suited to each unique client. In addition to specializing in identity, I support clients experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, and relationship issues. My aim is to co-create a space with you that facilitates growth, emotional awareness, and authentic self-expression. Please reach out if you have any questions about my work or about therapy more generally. I'm glad that you're seeking out the care you need right now, and I hope that we have the opportunity to connect more soon.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or drained? Do you feel like no one understands what you have gone through/are going through? Or do you find that you keep your feelings and personal experiences to yourself so you’re not a burden to others? You are not alone. It is not uncommon to feel disconnected and lonely, especially in this day and age. My name is Patricia Sibiga and I am a graduate student at CUNY Hunter studying Mental Health Counseling. My goal is to work together to talk through feelings of dissatisfaction and having a space where you feel safe, comfortable, and heard. Being vulnerable about your feelings and experiences can feel really scary and hard to do, especially if you have experienced being shut down when trying to in the past. Holding onto difficult feelings on your own can start to feel like a weight on your shoulders that continues to get heavier without an end in sight. Starting therapy can help to release that weight and strengthen your resilience to life’s inevitable encounters. My ambition as a therapist-in-training is to create a space where you are able to discuss these feelings and experiences without feeling shut down and unheard. You deserve to have a space in your life to discuss these topics in a non-judgmental, uplifting environment! My practice is rooted in psychodynamic, CBT, and mindfulness based approaches with a sprinkle of somatic therapy. With these theoretical approaches, we can work together to learn how current and past experiences are impacting your day-to-day, to practice grounding and mindfulness, and discover healthy cognitive behaviors and coping skills that may help with psychological distress. You may feel stuck, uncertain about yourself, overwhelmed by life transitions, or carrying the weight of the past. These moments hold emotional truths that deserve to be seen, heard, and understood. When we meet them with care and curiosity, they can become powerful entry points to deeper self-discovery and lasting self-compassion. The process of turning inward, increasing self-awareness and self-kindness, can be complex, but it often opens the door to meaningful growth. My role is to offer a safe, judgment-free space where this kind of exploration can unfold. I feel honored to walk alongside individuals as they reconnect with the parts of themselves that may feel lost, silenced, or in conflict. My approach is person-centered and psychodynamic, grounded in empathy and with a deep respect for your unique story. Together, we’ll explore your inner world at a pace that feels right for you. Individuals often share that they feel at ease in our sessions, able to speak freely, even when the emotions are difficult to name. Therapy with me is a collaborative process, grounded in trust, where you can feel empowered to take steps that align with your values. If you're ready to begin, or even just curious, I welcome you to reach out!
I combine compassionate care with evidence-based therapies to enable you to set and meet goals, feel better, and live the life you want and deserve. My goal is to provide you with a caring, comfortable, and supportive environment to discuss your concerns and help you develop new skills to improve your quality of life. Some of my clients only require a few sessions while others may benefit from longer-term counseling. I offer video therapy to patients using a secure video chat platform. This allows you to see a therapist from the comfort and convenience of your own home. When I'm not seeing patients, I am a professor at Rutgers. My specialties include: depression, anxiety, insomnia, bereavement, difficulties adjusting to new life circumstances (e.g., break ups, new jobs, graduation, medical diagnoses), stress related to caregiving, and behavioral management of medical issues. I am results-oriented -- together we will track your progress to ensure that therapy is actually having a positive effect on your life. If you're thinking about therapy, reach out to me and we can chat to see if I'd be a good fit for you.
Are you having trouble managing day-to-day worries and fears? Do you struggle with imposter syndrome in a world where everything is social media perfect? Do you struggle with people-pleasing? Finding yourself saying yes when you would rather say no? This can create anxiety and dissatisfaction in our lives and relationships and can leave us feeling resentful and unfulfilled. We’ll work together to dig deep, identify your challenges and create solutions to effectively manage the difficult situations you find yourself in over and over again. We’ll develop a plan to shift old patterns and behaviors that are keeping you from living your best life. My goal is for you to live more authentically with a greater sense of understanding and connection to yourself and others. I offer guidance and support in developing self-awareness and building effective coping skills to break free from anxiety and stress while accessing one’s own inner resilience, strength, and wisdom. When you’re craving real change but feel stuck—whether it’s anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, or a big life transition—you deserve a therapist who truly hears you.
