Those who seek my services are often looking to quiet their anxious minds, set boundaries in their relationships, and feel more confident on their life path. Trying to balance personal relationships with career/school, all while trying to convince everyone that you're in control and that you know what you're doing is exhausting. Life doesn't have to feel this hard! Our work together will involve identifying and removing barriers to your ideal life. Often that means learning to quiet the anxious voice inside your mind, shifting perspective, and unlearning the behaviors which have kept you stuck for so long. There’s no “one-size-fits-all” strategy. That is why I take the time to get to know you, see issues through your perspective, and create an individualized plan to help you reach your goals.
Kadijah supports young adults and adults who are seeking a safe space where they can be acknowledged, listened to, and accepted without any judgment. Typically, these folks are competent, accomplished individuals who are held back from achieving their full potential by issues such as anxiety, trauma, or difficulties in relationships. They are looking for a therapist who is empathetic, warm, affirming, and inclusive to guide them on their journey of healing. As your therapist, I will work alongside you to build effective tools for managing day-to-day life stressors, healing from your past trauma, and empowering you to move towards a more fulfilling life. My goal is to help you let go of fear and self-doubt, be kinder and more accepting of yourself, identify and express your needs, develop healthier boundaries, and feel more connected. Starting therapy is an act of bravery and kindness towards oneself. It is the beginning of prioritizing yourself and making meaningful changes in your life. I am honored to be a part of your journey of healing, renewal and growth. I look forward to connecting with you.
I work with people who long to feel more at home with themselves and in their lives. My clients are curious, self-reflective and have experienced things that leave them feeling hurt, fearful and alone. During sessions we may encounter powerful gates of self-discovery like grief, anger, and shame. Together we get to know these parts of you, approach them with kindness, release painful stories and make meaning. Clients leave sessions feeling closer to themselves, able to move through their lives with clarity and presence. My approach weaves multiple therapeutic approaches within and beyond traditional psychotherapy. I’m trained in IFS and EMDR, and incorporate mindfulness and somatic practices into sessions. I offer reiki, a form of energy healing, to support regulation and rest. I'm also a student of tarot and astrology, and can include these perspectives in the work. I welcome all parts of you to this work. To learn more about me and to see if we are a good match for doing this work together, email me to schedule a free 15 minute consultation call.

Being a human can be hard sometimes. Being overwhelmed and exhausted are normal feelings of being a human. I want to support you through these overwhelming times so you feel less alone. I want to be someone in your corner supporting you! I am Victoria McKnight, a second-year MSW student at Binghamton University and I went into the profession of Social Work to support people in life’s challenges. I am passionate about helping people reach their goals one step at a time! During our sessions together we will focus on what it is that you need that day. We will work together to understand how your thoughts are impacting your feelings and how those feelings can ultimately impact your behavior. We will be working towards improving your skills and tools to help you combat life’s challenges. We will focus on tools and techniques you can practice in your life that will help you with stress, anxiety, and overwhelming feelings. Again I will use a person-centered approach allowing our sessions to be altered to what you need and what works best for you! My therapeutic approach entails a core belief in a strengths-based approach. I believe that each person has strengths that they can tap into, to achieve their therapeutic goals. I also incorporate trauma-informed care as this modality is a broad support approach to how trauma has impacted a person. I always strive to provide clients with a safe, supportive environment in which they can feel seen, heard, and supported. You are the expert in your own life, in your journey and I will do my best to ensure that I support you in this journey. My overall intention is to allow you to feel comfortable in the space we create together. Whatever is going on in your life I want you to be able to bring that to our sessions where we can talk openly about it. I always want you to feel supported and connected to resources surrounding you that you can turn to for support. As I continue my journey as a social worker I hope to be someone who people can look back on their time with and say she provided me with a safe space to work through this crazy journey we call life together. Victoria McKnight is a therapist-in-training at Sol Health. Sol Health is a digital health startup that offers $30 therapy sessions for Gen Zs by connecting them to therapist-in-training accruing clinical hours.

Finding someone you feel comfortable with is important when searching for a therapist. Clients say I am warm, compassionate and non-judgmental, and provide a comfortable, relaxed and safe environment. My style is down to earth, and you will find it easy to talk to me and feel understood. My clients are individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, employment or relationship problems, or various life transitions. They may feel anxious, sad, angry, frustrated, depressed or confused. Sometimes they feel overwhelmed by their feelings, relationships, or life circumstances. Managing work or school, family and friendships is often demanding and stressful. I use an interactive approach to help clients re-examine fixed patterns of behavior that keep them stuck in unsatisfying situations. Past experiences, including relationships, can sometimes overload our thoughts and feelings. Increased awareness and new insights can often free clients to make more authentic and creative choices. I help clients find and build on their strengths, so that no matter what the reasons were that brought them to therapy, they become able to appreciate themselves in a deep and lasting way. Taking the step to call someone takes courage, and I look forward to receiving your call.
I come with passions for working with the neurodivergent population (specifically with ADHD and Autism and unpacking a late realization), providing gender-affirming care, sex-positive counseling, disordered eating, and body image, managing and processing chronic illness, and identity work through a trauma-informed and all-inclusive perspective. As a queer, neurodiverse counselor, my experience has offered me perspectives from within the community and has given me a passion for advocacy, connection, and collaboration. While I come with passion in these areas, my work goes beyond these areas. I believe that every individual and their needs deserve space in the therapeutic setting and it is my goal to create a space.
Who am I? What is important to me? What do I believe in? What do I want out of life? I know firsthand what it is like to face these questions, especially when rebuilding after disappointment, trauma, and loss. In my own experience and in my experience working with clients, I have found that the most difficult times of our lives can be the catalyst to our greatest growth, and eventually, a sense of peace we had not thought possible. My primary areas of focus are working with clients struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, relationship problems, and spiritual concerns. I integrate acceptance and mindfulness-based practices with evidence-based approaches to tailor a therapy experience that best fits your needs and goals. I believe those of us who struggle the most have the greatest resources for making real change, for building rich, full, and meaningful lives. Let’s work together to navigate life's difficulties, and in the face of challenges, be present, open up, and do what matters.
Substances have a way of putting us on a merry-go-round that will not stop. Substances help us regulate our mood, push out the uncomfortable, keep us walled off from our surroundings. Something happens in life, and we "want to stop", but do not know how to stop. And, we use again. If you are struggling with substances, unhappy with your life, tired of chasing the next high, ask for help. You can text or call me. Maybe it is time for you to rethink your relationship to substances.
