I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York with over 8 years of experience supporting teens, adults, and families through a wide range of life challenges. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. I view therapy as a space to explore challenges from a holistic, eclectic, and ecological perspective. Together, we look not only at symptoms, but also at patterns, relationships, and life experiences that influence where you are now. I believe that the difficulties that arise in life can become opportunities for growth and expansion—when approached with curiosity, support, and willingness to explore. I currently offer telehealth services for clients across New York.

My name is Courtney and my focus in my counseling work connects with guiding individuals to rediscover their sense of self when facing challenges. It's common for anxiety, depression, shame, and guilt to emerge during difficult times, especially times of life changes, and if this resonates with you, you are not alone. I am dedicated to offering supportive reflection and compassionate listening, empowering you to tap into your inner resilience, strengths, and sense of purpose. I specialize in working with individuals (16+) experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression, and with those who are experiencing difficulties with life transitions, self-esteem, and stress. I have specific experience working with individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQIA+), and I also provide EMDR therapy. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where we can address past challenges, current stressors, and concerns about what's next. My goal is to empower you to embrace your true self, listen to your inner voice with kindness, and cultivate deeper connections through vulnerability. With over a decade of experience in behavioral health, crisis intervention, and psychiatric and medical social work, I bring both clinical expertise and genuine compassion to the therapy process. My approach is collaborative, solution-focused, and always rooted in respect for you and your own unique experiences. I work with adults and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, chronic stress, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, burnout, self-esteem issues, substance use concerns, and women's issues. I also enjoy working with other healthcare professionals and caregivers; people who spend so much of their time caring for others, that they forget how to care for themselves. Clients often tell me they appreciate having a therapist who is warm, approachable, and easy to talk to- all while helping to move beyond insight into meaningful action.

My approach to therapy is warm, inviting, and challenging. I value compassion and "realness" and approach my work with clients from a place of curiosity and respect. I believe the quality of the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful work to occur and work with my clients to identify what feels most important to explore and address in therapy. Our work together may involve processing and organizing difficult life experiences or memories, preparing for major life transitions, or navigating challenges relating to depression/anxiety. I've often worked with clients in processing trauma and experiences of grief, relationship difficulties, and difficulties relating to identity (e.g., navigating minority related stress, LGBTQIA+, immigration concerns, etc.). Because safety and compatibility are necessary for effective therapy work, I typically connect with potential clients for a 15-20 minute phone consultation. This will allow us both to determine if we feel like we would be a good fit. Please feel free to reach out if you'd like to connect. Email tends to elicit a quicker response, however phone is fine, too! :)

Are you struggling with mood disorders, anxiety issues, OCD, or eating disorders? I provide mental health care for adults with a multimodal approach, ensuring relevant and informed patient care personalized to your specific lifestyle, wants, and needs. You are a unique individual with your own neurobiochemical makeup, which is why we work together to create a holistic treatment plan that you feel is realistic and sustainable. My specialty is in taking in a functional approach to psychiatry, with goals to discover the root cause of symptoms, provide options for treatment, and offer education for an informed therapeutic journey. I look forward to exploring the best options for you in our work together. Working together, you can expect a collaborative, therapeutic relationship, nonjudgmental environment, and creative solutions. I believe in taking a holistic approach while practicing with current evidence-based treatments, incorporating medications, psychotherapy, lifestyle counseling, and functional/nutritional psychiatry. My style of psychotherapy is integrative, combining Mindfulness, psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy concepts/practices. Before becoming a Psych NP, I practiced as an RN in numerous medical specialties and discovered a passion for psychiatry over time. I saw how mental health was not equally prioritized to physical health, and believe it is all connected. This experience allows me to bring a well-rounded medical background to patient care while addressing psychiatric needs, contributing to holistic treatment.

I am a licensed mental health counselor specializing in working with adolescents and young adults (ages 13 and older) across various biological, psychological, and social backgrounds. My goal is to help you understand yourself within the context of your unique life experiences as you navigate mental health struggles. These may include emotional/behavioral dysregulation, communication challenges, life transitions, academic/work stress, grief/bereavement, LGBTQAI+ issues, harm reduction in substance use, and other day-to-day life stressors. The therapeutic alliance between therapist and patient is the most important part of therapy, and I am passionate about building that foundation of trust with you. Working together, you can expect an empowering, non-judgmental environment with a little sense of humor sprinkled in. I use a warm, welcoming, and person-centered approach to meet you where you’re at in your healing journey, allowing me to tailor my style and interventions to your therapeutic goals and needs. These interventions include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavior Therapy, and more structured approaches to best help you meet your therapeutic goals. My path to becoming a therapist began one week into college, when I decided to switch my major from studio art to psychology. The motivation to make this drastic change and give psychology a try came from my own intuition and feeling like I had natural qualities of empathy and introspection. This journey of self-discovery deepened my commitment to helping patients identify what a life worth living and feeling of purpose looks like for them. My journey led me to work in a community agency as a therapist, where I found that my patients’ demographics were very different from one another and, as such, deserved their own unique approaches and integrated mix of interventions. Now, I am passionate about bringing that same energy to my practice at SOL Mental Health! Outside of sessions, I like to enjoy a wide range of hobbies, such as painting, hiking, playing the ukulele, and going to live music concerts.

My goal as a therapist is to work with my clients to help them use their natural strengths and abilities to move past their challenges. I believe that most people already possess the natural abilities and talents to move past mental health or sleep challenges, but might need some coaching or occasional suggestions in order to do so. I utilize therapeutic methods that have been rigorously researched and studied. I have extensive experience working with adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, insomnia, and trauma.

Hi, I'm Sean. I'm passionate about helping clients overcome struggles related to anxiety, OCD, life transitions, and identity development. In therapy, we will work collaboratively to identify your goals and create a plan to develop strategies to manage life challenges. In doing so, my goal is to create opportunities for you to come to know yourself more fully, to provide tools for you to connect with others more deeply, and to empower you to live a life more in line with your personal values. I am trained in providing CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ERP (Exposure & Response Prevention), and Psychodynamic Therapy. I often work using an integrated approach that emphasizes treating the whole person and incorporate elements of multiple modalities to meet your individual needs and goals. I enjoy helping to support people as they navigate through the many different waves of life. I help to create a warm, non judgmental, and supportive environment where clients are free to talk about their stories. I draw from a number of different treatment modalities, but most importantly, meet the client where they are at. While each individual's experience is unique, I regularly work with clients around topics related to anxiety, depression, obsessive thoughts, relationship concerns, sexuality, ADHD, life's transitions, familial conflict and many more. In this busy world, it can be difficult to make time to focus on your needs. Therapy provides a space to do so and share your story in a safe and non judgmental environment. Sessions are a time to practice self care, utilize your strengths, and develop tools that help you gain a better understanding of you. I would love to have the chance to work with you and hear your story. Currently, sessions are teletherapy based allowing you more flexibility to be in a familiar setting and join from any mobile or desktop device. I would love to help you with the process of learning more about you and develop the tools to navigate the many waves of life.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to turn, you don’t have to face it alone. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in helping children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, emotional regulation, and major life transitions. With more than five years of experience across diverse clinical settings, I offer care that is compassionate, evidence-based, and built on trust. My goal as your engaged and supportive partner is to ensure you feel safe and understood as we work through what’s weighing on you and progress toward the life you want to live. Our work is a partnership, one where you’re met with respect, curiosity, and care every step of the way. I look forward to supporting your growth, healing, and lasting change. My approach to therapy centers on you. I work collaboratively and from a strengths-based, culturally responsive perspective, creating a space where you feel respected and supported. Together, we’ll explore your unique needs and lived experiences, build insight, and tap into the resilience you already carry. Our sessions are nonjudgmental, trauma informed, and grounded in compassion, with an emphasis on practical tools you can use to create lasting change so the work feels meaningful and relevant. My journey toward becoming a therapist began in my teenage years, when I was searching for ways to make sense of my own emotions and searching for support that truly helped. Along the way, I learned how powerful it can be to feel genuinely understood, an experience that shaped my commitment to offering care that’s warm, trauma informed, and deeply compassionate. In my work today, I bring empathy, patience, and a real-life understanding of what it’s like to build emotional skills one step at a time, meeting people exactly where they are. Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, painting, boxing, and a little retail therapy. These hobbies help me stay grounded, creative, and energized, bringing balance and presence into the work I do with patients.
