Dr. Rademan starts treatment with a thorough and detailed inventory of life experiences that could be contributing to current concerns. She also explores body pain and chronic health concerns as those can be impacted by trauma and emotional wounding. Just like with physical health, mental health can be impacted by earlier 'injuries' that flare up later in life. Many people have been in and out of therapy throughout their life and haven't found sustained relief due to not healing the root issue or concern. At the foundation of treatment, Dr. Rademan utilizes a trauma and cognitive focused framework. Trauma is not only major violence or death, but can also be a loss of a relationship, not getting your needs met when you were a child, or ongoing major stressors. Trauma can be described as anything that significantly changed the way you view yourself or the world.
I am so excited to offer both counseling and clinical supervision services within my practice. I have over 20 years of experience as a therapist. I have worked extensively in community behavioral health settings and have a wealth of experience to share with licensee's. I believe that people are resilient and that being alongside a person through their own individual journey is a sacred honor. I work with clients to strengthen and foster healing, growth, health and wellness. My theoretical framework is person centered and I tailor my interventions to the individual client. I have a passion for assisting my clients to reach a state of peacefulness after years of battling their bodies. To actively live everyday with compassion and love for their body, mind and spirit. To heal, be present and take joy in being alive as a perfectly imperfect human being. I use a HAES (health at every size) approach. I work from a positive psychology and trauma informed lens and I use techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and motivational interviewing. I hold unconditional positive regard for all people and strive to create a healing environment that is safe, accepting and affirming.
I believe psychotherapy is a project between two people where sources of emotional pain and anguish are discovered and revisited, where what has been denied, unimagined, forgotten, or come to be unspeakable can become imagined, felt and spoken. The process generates an understanding of ourselves that is vastly more dynamic than what our relationships, politics and culture allow, leading to the easing of suffering and the creation of new possibilities. The therapy I provide is open, an invitation. There is a freedom to it that takes courage and tolerance. It can involve a deconstructive or constructive momentum where you may not necessarily be told what to say or how to feel. It is an invitation to notice what comes to mind and what does not. What can emerge in a therapy is dynamic. It can surprise, frustrate, thrill and provoke. These experiences are worked through together. As you bring yourself as fully as possible to what confuses or afflicts, I will help guide you with my understanding of the mind toward a life of growth and healing.
We all look for empathy, understanding, and connection in our lives and relationships. When moving through the world with a non-dominant identity, it can be difficult to find acceptance, confidence and a sense of belonging. As a biracial Chamoru woman, I have been navigating these struggles throughout my life. I hope to work with others who are looking to cultivate relationships with their core identities, while navigating the challenges related to systems of oppression. My clients often identify as people of color, LGBTQ+, disabled, and/or chronically ill, as well as part of nerd, geek or techie communities. I work best with clients who are looking to build a warm, trusting, and collaborative counseling relationship. Relationships can be powerful and I believe that healing begins with feeling that you are being genuinely heard and cared for. If you think we may be a good fit, I warmly encourage you to reach out! I provide a free consultation appointment where we can get to know each other and assess your needs. Currently, I only offer online counseling to Oregon residents.

Feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or stuck? You’re not alone. College can be exciting, but it also comes with a lot of pressure—academic stress, anxiety, depression, trouble focusing, or feeling like your emotions are out of control. Maybe you’re struggling with motivation, relationships, or anger that seems to come out of nowhere. If ADHD makes it hard to keep up with deadlines or stay organized, you might feel frustrated and exhausted. I specialize in helping students manage stress, anxiety, depression, anger, and ADHD. My approach is supportive, down-to-earth, and practical—I help you understand what’s really going on and give you tools to feel more in control. Whether you need to untangle overwhelming emotions, get better at handling frustration, or build confidence in yourself, I’m here to help. You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s work together to help you feel more balanced, focused, and in charge of your life.
If your life had a resumé, “chameleon” would be at the top. You’re so good at figuring out others’ needs, they’d never suspect that you have them too. If you were honest with yourself, though, you’d admit how stressful it is to live for other people. You’re terrified you’ll lose relationships if you speak up or say no. Your energy is drained or you feel resentful. You’re exhausted from wondering if others like you or approve of you. If you make choices that disappoint others, you feel guilty and selfish. Your whole identity is about pleasing others, & you want to feel comfortable being your authentic self, but you have no idea how. If this sounds like you, I’ve got you! We’ll shift your story so you'll see your sensitivity to others as a strength. You’ll be a boundaries badass who feels confident with your decisions. You’ll take your perfectionism head on and feel able to live in the present. And you’ll have action steps that feel good, because they’re finally in line with YOUR goals. I specialize in treating Highly Sensitive People and recovering perfectionists & people-pleasers. I see clients online through a convenient video platform, so that therapy can work seamlessly with your busy life. Contact me for a free 20-minute consultation to determine if I’m the right therapist for you! I look forward to speaking with you!
My counseling practice integrates holistic mind and body-oriented therapeutic approaches, depth psychology, and client-centered care. I offer you support to move past your blocks, calm your fears, and experience your truest self. My experiential approaches are guided by your values and aims.
I value authenticity, empathy, and self-awareness, both for myself and my clients, and as a critical part of the therapeutic process (I also take advantage of the healing power of laughter whenever possible!). I aim to normalize and validate my clients’ experiences without judgment, and above all, provide the most basic of human needs: to feel seen and heard. My name is Stephanie (Stephanie or Stevie is fine) and I have been providing therapy in NJ exclusively via telehealth for about the last 4 years (prior to that, in person). If you have been struggling with symptoms of depression or anxiety, particularly if they are related to a traumatic experience, I would love the opportunity to work with you to reduce your mood- or anxiety-related symptoms, and to help you to experience a present that is not overshadowed or negatively impacted by situations and events from your past. I love working with women ages 20 to 30-something who are still in academia or just starting out in their careers, but also love working with women of any age. I frequently work with survivors of child sexual abuse, as well as those struggling with issues related to self-esteem/self-worth, but have treated many others as well. While experience and education are an absolute necessity to do this work, I believe that my lived experience has had a profound impact on both my ability to build strong therapeutic relationships and to be a more effective therapist. My ability to connect with clients has only been strengthened by my personal experiences with child sexual abuse, growing up with a parent with serious mental illness, and managing chronic depression since childhood, as well as through supporting loved ones through the complexities of mental illness, suicide, sexual abuse, special needs, chronic illness/pain, estrangement, dissociation, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorder, AD/HD, divorce, parenting, emotional and financial abuse, and coercive control. While I am not generally a "glass half full" person, nor do I necessarily believe that things happen for a reason, I do believe that if you're smart, you'll look for something to learn from the pain and from the healing. Doing so has lead me to this work and I want so much to show you what is on the other side of your pain. My background has also provided me with experiences that can be drawn upon when building relationships with clients. I have had the privilege of having known, grown up with, and cared deeply about people from a variety of backgrounds, races, nationalities, gender identities, sexual orientations, etc. In terms of strengths, I am unfailingly authentic, resilient, intelligent, curious, non-judgmental, and (at least in my personal life) hilarious ;) And by the way, all of those strengths? They were not so much developed as they were uncovered…through therapy. :) Please visit my website for blog and feedback from clients: www.of2mindstherapy.com *My practice is focused primarily on treating adults who identify as female as well as being a welcoming space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I do not currently treat cisgender heterosexual males, children or adolescents. I am currently licensed to treat clients in NJ, CT, OR, and WA Please reach out to see if your insurance is accepted. Developmental trauma (experiences as we grow, including our family of origin) shapes how we see the world, sometimes unsafe and challenging to navigate. Our attachments are the foundations in which we trust or find conflict. Developmental trauma may manifest in the body as anxiety, stress, distress, relationship difficulties, depression and more. There is healing to be found here, to be understood and nourished. Well done on the first step in a journey toward wellness. The most important aspect of therapy is finding a person who makes you feel safe and heard. I look forward to collaborating. I have training and experience in working with trauma, family of origin/generational cycles, attachment disruptions, complicated grief and loss, sexuality, sex work and with LGBTQAI+ persons. I love working through emotions, trauma and somatic experiencing. I am Level I Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy trained. I enjoy working with and understanding folx from their perspective; I work with singles, couples, non-monogamous consensual relationships and families. I provide a safe, unassuming space in which you can find felt safety. I appreciate the eclectic person you are and would like to help you identify your own cracks, so that you can let your own light in.
