I am so excited to offer both counseling and clinical supervision services within my practice. I have over 20 years of experience as a therapist. I have worked extensively in community behavioral health settings and have a wealth of experience to share with licensee's. I believe that people are resilient and that being alongside a person through their own individual journey is a sacred honor. I work with clients to strengthen and foster healing, growth, health and wellness. My theoretical framework is person centered and I tailor my interventions to the individual client. I have a passion for assisting my clients to reach a state of peacefulness after years of battling their bodies. To actively live everyday with compassion and love for their body, mind and spirit. To heal, be present and take joy in being alive as a perfectly imperfect human being. I use a HAES (health at every size) approach. I work from a positive psychology and trauma informed lens and I use techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and motivational interviewing. I hold unconditional positive regard for all people and strive to create a healing environment that is safe, accepting and affirming.

We all look for empathy, understanding, and connection in our lives and relationships. When moving through the world with a non-dominant identity, it can be difficult to find acceptance, confidence and a sense of belonging. As a biracial Chamoru woman, I have been navigating these struggles throughout my life. I hope to work with others who are looking to cultivate relationships with their core identities, while navigating the challenges related to systems of oppression. My clients often identify as people of color, LGBTQ+, disabled, and/or chronically ill, as well as part of nerd, geek or techie communities. I work best with clients who are looking to build a warm, trusting, and collaborative counseling relationship. Relationships can be powerful and I believe that healing begins with feeling that you are being genuinely heard and cared for. If you think we may be a good fit, I warmly encourage you to reach out! I provide a free consultation appointment where we can get to know each other and assess your needs. Currently, I only offer online counseling to Oregon residents.
What haven't you said? And what might change if you said it? Some things only become known and shift under the right conditions. I'm Andrew, a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in Ashland, OR, remote across OR, MD, and NY. I've been a therapist for 15 years. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, relationship snags, troublesome patterns, career and purpose questions, and the more diffuse sense that something is off. I work with students and graduate students sorting out what it means to become themselves while meeting everyone else's expectations, and with medical students and residents under the particular pressures of clinical training. I've also spent years with addiction, trauma, and more acute struggles. My training is psychoanalytic, but in practice I'm more interested in you than in applying any of it to you. I'm not here to fit you into a framework or hand you formulas for how to be. Together we explore what matters, what repeats, what gets avoided, what happens between us. You come to know what's best. That stays with you anywhere. The first conversation is a brief phone call, fifteen or twenty minutes, to talk about what brought you in and whether we're a fit. Not sure if therapy is for you? That's a fine place to start. Reach out.
I have spent the last 6 years working with young adults in the community. Many are in a new place and dealing with transition in their lives. Living far away from home and having to "adult" can be overwhelming. Figuring out what you want to do after college can also be stressful. I would help to provide support during times. I am a playful therapist that has a genuine, person centered approach. I am not a blank faced therapist. I believe that the biggest intervention is the therapeutic alliance that is created between the therapist and client. Building trust, being approachable and connecting with my client's, these things are very important to me. I have lived experience of walking through this community as a Black queer women; this experience helps me connect and build rapport with BIPOC and queer folx. I have experience treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis and pre psychotic symptoms. I love supporting people with creating healthy relationships and boundaries, working on assertive and healthy communication. Please check out my website, there you can schedule a free 15 consultation. I would love to meet you to see if we would be a good fit!
Offering Online/Telemedicine care for individuals living in Oregon and Hawaii. I take a whole-person approach to assessment and treatment. I aim to get to the root of the issues and build a treatment plan around the specific factors that are playing a part in each person's mental illness symptoms. My approach is an excellent fit for those seeking therapy and medication in one place. If you feel that things have become too much at this point, I would be happy to help you organize everything and find a treatment plan that works for you.

Starting the therapy process is a sign of strength and vulnerability. I believe that we all have the power to create change in our lives by allowing ourselves to see ourselves and be seen by others in our lives. Together, we will explore the origins of your patterns of thinking/behaving/relating as well as the functions that these patterns serve, assess your barriers to change, identify your strengths and resources, and practice new ways of coping in order to help you live a more satisfying life.
Over-stimulation of sensitivities and the need for recognition and care of those sensitivities is so important in the world we live in today. I have worked with Neuro-divergent clients helping them to understand, address and heal the trauma of power and control, which causes so much suffering in our present world. With twenty plus years of extensive experience working with high-spectrum autism, I offer personalized therapy sessions designed to support both clients and caregivers, helping you create positive change, build stronger connections, and foster growth in your relationship with your loved one. Cognitive Bodhicitta Therapy is a course of treatment which helps my clients to unpack and process their past, letting go of their trauma, so that they may find their purpose, to build the life they wish to live. "Know Thyself", is the core tenet of my work and to love oneself is to truly know oneself. Let me help you find that purpose and self love. My journey has been that of a healer, join me in that journey and let me help you find your personal path to healing and self love.
