Through over 20 years of practice I have found that people usually seek therapy because they are experiencing something that is too difficult to bear without additional help and support. Life can seem unjust when bad things happen to good people, or when best efforts are not leading to desired outcomes. These challenges are opportunities for renewal and growth. Especially during a time of crisis or transition, the ability to safely connect and openly share thoughts and feelings, while receiving genuine emotional support, clarifying insights, and effective tools for coping can be truly life changing. This is the gift of therapy. I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorders (such as OCD, tic disorders, hair pulling, skin picking and hoarding). I use evidence-based treatment models (ERP, HRT, CBT and EMDR). Research tells us that the therapeutic relationship is a critical factor in determining outcomes, so finding a therapist who is right for you is key. Call for a free 15 minute phone consultation so that you can interview me and decide if I'm a good fit.
At Therapy-Tree, I specialize in helping people navigate the messy & complicated parts of life—and for college students, that often means balancing independence, relationships, academics, and figuring out who you are meant to be. Many of the students I work with share a common thread: they feel the weight of expectations. Sometimes it shows up as perfectionism, people-pleasing, anxiety about the future, or being hard on themselves when things don’t go perfectly. Others are feeling stuck and frozen, untangling relationship patterns, healing from past hurts, or learning how to trust themselves and set boundaries. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I meet you where you are and follow your lead—you’ll get tools, honest conversations, and a safe space where all parts of your story are welcome. Whether we’re exploring stress, identity, relationships, or healing from trauma, my focus is on helping you feel grounded, supported, and more connected to yourself. If you’re a student who wants to be more emotionally regulated, feel more confident, and grow in ways that matter to you, Therapy-Tree might be a good fit.
My clients tend to feel like they haven’t fully fit, often misunderstood in their environments. The stories we tell ourselves are very important, often they are stories that others have told us or placed on us. I believe that there is power in taking back our story and discovering what aspects you wish to keep or change. I approach therapy in an existential and narrative lens, with somatic and mindfulness influences to create a safe, inviting, and culturally sensitive therapeutic relationship. Some of my clients are discovering who they are, where my role is to give you a safe, inquisitive playground to explore parts of yourself. Other clients understand themselves, but may struggle living their true self in different contexts. Ultimately, I pay close attention to the why underlying your narrative to identify the meaning in what you bring up. Sometimes, these intersections are particular visible in our relationships. I offer couples and family counseling using a transgenerational lens & Gottman Institute techniques for pre-marital counseling. I offer free 20 minute consultation calls to discuss our goodness of fit.

I have a passion for working with youth who are navigating trauma, anxiety, identity, substance use, and other mental health issues. I'm specifically honored to serve LGBTQiA+ folks as a proud member of the queer community myself. I love helping anyone tap into their autonomy, self-love, find their strengths, and accomplish their goals. I practice harm reduction, which helps people determine how to do what they want to do (whether that be coming out as transgender or non-binary, building community, sexual exploration, drug use, etc.) to their own level of comfort and safety at their own pace. I provide a collaborative and open approach to therapy without any judgement. You are in the driver's seat and determine what the destination is. I'm just in the passenger's seat with a stack of maps, helping you find your path.
Hello! I am Yvette LeBlanc Gundry, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I specialize in supporting undergraduates, graduate students, post-grad, and adult clients who are parents or thinking about becoming parents through life transitions, relationship issues, and issues of self esteem and identity. I offer online and walk & talk therapy to folks who are looking for support during times of stress, are interested in finding meaning and connection, and improving their relationships with themselves and others. With compassion and humor, I strive for a collaborative relationship in which I provide a non judgmental space for each client to explore and process experiences. I utilize a relational, client-centered, grief & trauma informed approach tailored to each client’s needs, and often incorporate tools such as mindfulness, expressive approaches, mind-body approaches, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to empower clients. In my work with clients I provide information, encouragement, and support to help pave the way for meaningful change. I assist clients in navigating grief & loss, depression, anxiety, life transitions and direction, academic stress, relationship distress, trauma, perinatal/reproductive mental health, spirituality, and medical stressors & mind-body issues. I can help you develop self-understanding, gain confidence, and learn strategies to manage distress. I welcome individuals of all identities as clients, and where our identities or experiences differ, I hope to be an ally for you in your life.

As a counselor, I am committed to providing a safe and empathetic space for students to explore and address a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, addiction, ADHD, career choices, and relationship issues. I have experience working in a college counseling center and am familiar with the unique challenges that college students face. My approach is integrative, drawing from various therapeutic modalities such as acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, EMDR, and mindfulness-based techniques. By tailoring treatment plans to individual needs, I aim to empower my clients to develop coping skills, enhance self-awareness, and foster resilience in navigating academic, personal, and social stressors. Whether you're struggling with managing emotions, navigating transitions, or facing interpersonal challenges, our sessions will focus on fostering growth, self-compassion, and meaningful connections. I'm pretty shock-proof, I've worked with clients from all walks of life, and I'm human too.
Others may think you have it together, but on the inside, you’re falling apart. It feels like you can’t keep up with life’s changes, but it’s so hard to ask for help! Life feels out of control, causing you to feel lost, overwhelmed, unfulfilled, and stuck. You are not alone! I work with teens and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and chronic illnesses. My own experiences with chronic illnesses and the physical and mental challenges they bring have greatly directed my therapeutic practices. I believe our thinking patterns and the way we interpret the world, influence our behaviors and keep us stuck! By adjusting these patterns we can begin to change behaviors and have a different outcome.
