College can be exciting, overwhelming, and everything in between. It’s a time of big changes, big questions, and a lot of pressure—about who you are, where you belong, and whether you’re doing “enough.” I work with college students who are navigating anxiety, body image struggles, perfectionism, and that nagging feeling of not measuring up, even when everything seems fine on the outside. If you’re feeling stuck, anxious, or just off, therapy can be a space to slow down and figure out what’s really going on. Together, we’ll explore what matters to you and what helps you feel more like you. My approach is warm, supportive, and down-to-earth. Whether you’re on campus or away, we’ll work together to help you feel more confident, grounded, and connected—both to yourself and the life you’re building.

College is the ultimate life experience, but it can also cause a lot of anxiety, doubt, confusion, and feelings of inadequacy. It also brings along questions of “am I good enough,” “did I choose the right path,” and “how am I going to get through this”? Guess what? These are all normal feelings and thoughts that every college student experiences to some degree or another, and I am here to help you navigate them! However, what happens if tragedy strikes, or you find yourself struggling with disabling anxiety, or chronic pain and/or illness? That was the predicament I found myself in during Graduate School. I received a Traumatic Brain Injury along with a Spinal Injury halfway through my MSW. I thought it was all over for me, I thought I was going to fail out of school, and was told I could never work in the field of social work. Well, I’m here to tell you they were WRONG! I made it through all the trials and tribulations, graduated with Honors, and I am here to help you navigate your struggles and help you continue to pursue your dreams! If you are struggling with daily college life, are experiencing debilitating mental health issues, or are trying to power through chronic pain and/or illness to acquire your college degree and make your dreams come true I am here to help you on your journey!

You feel like anxiety has crept into all areas of your life. You avoid decisions or situations that feel overwhelming, and instead turn to any distraction (mindless eating, social media, drinking, etc.) you can find to avoid the shame and guilt of not moving forward. Maybe you're struggling with body image and wonder if you're relationship with food and exercise is normal. Your fear of failure keeps you stuck in your personal and professional life, and in relationships. I work with young adults who feel trapped by anxiety and their fear of failure, find freedom in their relationships, academic and career life and from negative body image. I believe that therapy can create long-lasting, meaningful change in this pivotal point in life.

At Taylor’s Touch of Clarity, we work best with college students who feel overwhelmed, stressed, or uncertain—even if everything looks “fine” on the outside. Many of the students we support are balancing classes, work, family expectations, relationships, and the pressure to figure out their future, all at the same time. You may be experiencing constant stress, anxiety that makes it hard to focus, low confidence, or feeling stuck in your own head. Some students come to us feeling burned out, disconnected, or unsure of who they are becoming. Others are navigating depression, self-esteem challenges, relationship concerns, or major life transitions. If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and support is available. Our practice is built on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where students can openly talk about what they’re going through without feeling rushed, labeled, or misunderstood. We focus on meeting you where you are and tailoring care to your individual needs, rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. At Taylor’s Touch of Clarity, counseling is a collaborative process. We believe progress happens best when clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their growth. Our clinicians work alongside students to build practical coping skills, increase emotional awareness, and strengthen confidence in both academic and personal areas of life. Using a client-centered and strengths-based approach, we help students identify their values, recognize their strengths, and develop tools to manage stress, anxiety, mood challenges, and relationship concerns. Our goal is not just to help you get through college, but to support you in building skills and self-understanding that will serve you well beyond it.

We believe what makes you different makes you wonderful, not wrong. Too many people spend their first therapy sessions teaching a well-meaning counselor the vocabulary of their own lives before they can even talk about what's actually going on. We started Love Let Out because everyone deserves a therapist who already speaks their language, and because we're committed to dismantling the systemic barriers that keep marginalized communities from getting care that actually fits them. We do this by building our practice around lived understanding, not just clinical training. Our clinicians come from the communities we serve, your life isn't theoretical to us. That means our approach is collaborative and culturally responsive from the first session: we're not assessing whether your relationship structure or identity is "the problem," we're helping you build a life and relationships that actually work for who you are. In practice, that looks like a team of licensed clinicians offering telehealth therapy across Texas, Oregon, and Washington, specializing in open/non-monogamous relationships and kink-affirming care, LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy, neurodivergence (ADHD/autism), and trauma and religious trauma recovery. We work with individuals, couples, and small groups/polycules, ages 15 and up.

Dr. Gonzales takes a personalized, collaborative approach that thoughtfully integrates medication management with evidence-based therapeutic techniques. He believes every patient deserves a safe space — one built on trust and open communication — because lasting change requires feeling safe and genuinely heard. He specializes in treating anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, PTSD, and ADHD across the lifespan — with a particular focus on the unique challenges facing early career professionals, young adults, college students, transitional aged youth, kids and teens. Whether you're seeking psychiatric care for the first time or you've tried other providers and are looking for a better fit, his goal is always the same: to help you grow, develop coping skills that actually work in real life, and build the kind of emotional foundation that holds. Dr. Gonzales believes that mental health care should be readily accessible — because the easier it is to engage in care, the more likely meaningful progress follows. His practice is primarily telehealth-based, removing barriers like commute time, scheduling conflicts, and the hesitation that can come with walking into an office. He currently sees patients virtually across Illinois, Florida, Wisconsin, and Texas. In-person appointments are also available in Chicago, IL for those who prefer them.

You may feel disconnected from yourself—questioning your worth, your decisions, or your place in relationships. Perhaps your inner dialogue is critical, self-doubt feels persistent, or you find yourself repeating the same unhelpful relationship patterns. As an individual or as a couple, you want more than symptom relief. You want clarity, confidence, and healthier ways of relating—to yourself and to each other. You’re looking for a space to slow down, make sense of what’s weighing on you, and begin showing up differently in your life and relationships. I take a trauma-informed, integrative approach tailored to your needs. I believe insight fosters understanding, clarity, and awareness—and once awareness is present, change becomes a choice. Together, we’ll explore the thought patterns and relational dynamics shaping how you see yourself and show up in your relationships. Depending on your goals, we may explore how past experiences affect the present or focus on practical strategies for current challenges. I work with individuals and couples facing self-esteem concerns, identity struggles, unhelpful thinking patterns, relationship stress, burnout, and life transitions.
