If you’re struggling to navigate current relationships, find ways to heal from past trauma, develop meaning and purpose in life, or cope with what life throws at you, I’m here to be a companion in your journey. I am an emotion-focused and trauma-informed therapist for individuals ages 10 and up, with clinical experience in a wide depth of reasons one might seek out therapy, including relational trauma, depression, anxiety, identity issues, self-esteem, emerging adulthood, psychosis, attachment, self-harm, life transitions, parenting support, and more. I know there can often be mixed feelings when starting therapy, and I see your courage. I look forward to meeting you where you’re at, getting to know you, and witnessing your growth in our work together. Please reach out today to take the next step on your healing path. I believe that you are the expert in your own life and growth is always possible, which is why I’m passionate about being an active partner who helps you step into your most authentic self. I attune my intervention approaches to your specific needs while most often utilizing existential, attachment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and strength-based approaches to achieve your goals for growth and work toward your most fulfilling life. If seeking couples therapy, I utilize Gottman and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) approaches most often. If seeking therapy for your child, I have a background in play therapy, including attachment play therapy approaches. Working together, you can expect a warm, wholistic, curious, and collaborative environment as we collaborate to manage the challenging parts of life. I bring my compassion and authenticity each day to help guide you through your own healing journey. When I’m not in the therapy room, I’m often out in nature, whether that’s on a photography hike, camping, or learning snowboarding. I also enjoy recharging through quality time with loved ones, board game nights, or maybe planning my next national park getaway!

As a multicultural woman, I not only have personal experience with historical trauma, intergenerational trauma, and women's issues, but I also specialize in grief and loss, sexual assault/violence, suicidality, relationship issues, transitional difficulties, depression, anxiety, identity formation, and more. With experience serving ages 12-adult, I aim to create a safe space to explore an array of different obstacles within the human experience to leave my clients feeling empowered and heard. With a deep personal and professional understanding of social work, social justice, social change, and historical trauma, I align myself in support of the acknowledgement and healing of all Indigenous Peoples, the Black Lives Matter Movement and Black / African American folks as well as many multicultural minoritized individuals and communities experiencing racialized trauma and injustice, as well as the LGBTQIA+ communities continuing to fight every day for equity across systems. I have a well-rounded perspective on spirituality, and challenge myself to do continued allyship work within myself and my practice to show up for the intersections of my clients with a mindfulness around impact, action, and honoring the innate dignity of the whole person.

Whether you're navigating trauma, managing anxiety or depression, struggling with big emotions, or working through relationship concerns, you don't have to face it alone. As a Social Work Candidate (SWC) with nine years of experience, I specialize in trauma-informed care, emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Many of the patients I work with come in feeling overwhelmed, struggling to manage intense emotions or unsure how to cope with life's stressors. Together, we work to build practical skills, deepen self-understanding, and create a greater sense of stability and confidence in your everyday life. Reaching out for help takes courage, and I want you to feel supported from the very first session. My approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and genuine understanding, so you can count on a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and never judged. I walk alongside you as a collaborative partner, helping you build confidence, develop meaningful coping skills, and create lasting, positive change. Therapy looks different for everyone, and that's exactly how it should be. My approach is warm, collaborative, practical, and tailored to meet your unique needs and goals at every stage of the journey. For younger patients, I incorporate play therapy as a natural and effective way to help children express themselves and process their experiences. For adolescents and adults, we'll work together using trauma-informed care and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to build emotional regulation skills, process difficult experiences, and improve your overall well-being. What you can always expect is a supportive environment where you feel safe to be yourself. My style is flexible, and I genuinely care about helping you better understand yourself and develop the tools to feel more in control of your emotions and your life. My path to becoming a therapist began with a deep curiosity about how people experience and cope with difficult emotions and life's challenges. That curiosity grew into a calling, a commitment to offering compassionate, trauma-informed care that truly meets each patient where they are. Every session, I bring a warm, patient, and supportive presence, creating space for you to express yourself openly, build meaningful insight, and develop the skills you need to grow. It's work I find deeply rewarding as I help guide you toward healing and a more balanced life. Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy staying active through exercise, which helps me maintain balance and well-being. I’m passionate about volunteering with animals, including involvement in equine-assisted therapy settings, where I’ve seen firsthand the powerful connection between humans and animals. These activities help me stay grounded, present, and connected – values I bring into my work with clients.

Looking for a therapist can be overwhelming, but finding the right fit shouldn't feel like a group project you're doing alone. Hi! I'm Cait, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who genuinely enjoys working with college students. I first found myself in the client chair during my undergraduate years, so I understand how vulnerable and sometimes intimidating it can feel to reach out for support. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and down to earth. I strive to create a space where you can show up as you are, talk through what's been weighing on you, and develop tools that help you feel more confident navigating life's challenges. If you'd like to learn more about me and my approach, I invite you to explore my website. I also offer a free 30-minute consultation where you can ask questions, share what you're looking for, and get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit. Therapy is an investment in yourself, and you deserve to find someone who feels right for you.

Hi, I’m Ana, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing virtual therapy in Colorado. You may appear to have everything together, yet inside you feel exhausted, disconnected, or like you are constantly masking parts of who you are. Many of the people I work with feel caught between identities, cultures, or expectations that never quite feel like home. I work with young adults and adults (18-30s) navigating trauma symptoms, burnout, high-functioning anxiety, identity-related stress, and feeling detached from themselves. Many are college students or early-career professionals trying to understand who they are and build a life that feels more aligned with their identity and values. My approach centers the connection between identity, culture/environment, and the whole Self--mind, body, heart, spirit, and soul. Drawing from somatic therapy, trauma-informed care, multicultural therapy, IFS-informed parts work, and systems perspectives, I help clients understand the protective patterns that once served them, reconnect with themselves on a deeper level, and move toward a life that feels more authentic, intentional, and aligned with who they are. Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you have not always felt understood or supported in other spaces. I offer a free 15-minute phone or video consultation where we can talk about what brings you here, answer any questions you may have, and explore whether working together feels like the right fit for you.

Beginning therapy—or starting with a new therapist—can feel vulnerable and daunting. As a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), I create a space that feels welcoming, non-judgmental, and safe to support adults who are ready to improve their well-being and navigate life’s transitions with greater clarity, resilience, and self-compassion. My specialties include perinatal mental health and women’s mental health across the lifespan, along with mood and anxiety disorders, stress management, attachment disorders, and more. When working together, you are assured a warm and non-pathologizing approach to care that is grounded in humility and respect for the courage it takes to share your story. I welcome the opportunity to connect for a brief consultation, bringing skill and compassion to your journey no matter where you’re at along the path. I believe each person is the expert in their own life. Therapy is, therefore, a collaborative process, where I listen deeply and work with you to clarify your goals and move toward healing and greater well-being at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we attend not only to areas of pain, but also to your strengths, values, and passions. My approach is warm, person-centered, and strengths-based, drawing flexibly from a range of evidence-based modalities. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. In addition, I am trained in the Gottman Method (Level 1) and use Gottman techniques in my work with couples. As a clinician with lived experience as a mother and more than ten years of experience as an educator, I bring a deep understanding of family systems, child development, and the realities of parenting. This background allows me to support mothers and families with both compassion and practical insight. When I’m not in the office, I love reading, spending time in nature, taking in all kinds of art, and having adventures with my family.

I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with experience providing comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and care for adolescents and adults. My work centers on mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-related concerns, and ADHD — helping people navigate a wide range of mental health challenges so they can regain balance, improve daily functioning, and reconnect to what matters most. Whatever brings you here, I believe in taking a compassionate, holistic, and evidence-based approach that meets you where you are. Whether it’s your first time seeking psychiatric care or a continuation of a longer journey, I look forward to supporting you toward greater mental wellness and healing. Forming genuine human connections is something I'm passionate about, as I believe doing so is an integral part of how healing happens. In our work together, you can expect a supportive and collaborative environment where your concerns are genuinely valued. I use shared decision-making and supportive therapeutic techniques to help you better understand your symptoms and achieve your goals. Every treatment or medication management plan I build is individualized, tailored to your unique needs, experiences, and priorities. My path to becoming a psychiatric clinician was shaped by both personal and professional experiences. Growing up, I witnessed firsthand the impact mental health challenges can have on individuals and families, while being raised by my grandmother taught me compassion and resilience — values that continue to guide the way I show up for my patients. Beginning my nursing career during the COVID-19 pandemic deepened that foundation. Offering supportive care during life's most challenging moments showed me how much it matters to have someone in your corner. Those experiences strengthened my commitment to creating a safe space where patients feel heard and empowered in their journey. Outside of work, I enjoy playing beach volleyball, hiking with my boyfriend and dog, listening to live music, and exploring new places.

You’re not broken...you’re overwhelmed. If you’re a college student, grad student, or campus professional who looks like they’re “doing fine” but feels anything but fine on the inside, you’re not alone. Many of the people I work with say things like: “My brain never shuts off.” “I overthink everything I say or do.” “I’m exhausted, but slowing down feels scary.” “I keep it together for everyone else, but I’m unraveling inside.” “I don’t know how to rest without guilt.” On the outside, you’re capable, responsible, and high-functioning. On the inside, it feels like you’re carrying a constant mental and emotional load, and you’re tired of holding it all alone. I work with students and campus professionals who are: •burnt out and emotionally overloaded •stuck in anxiety, overthinking, or shame spirals •sensitive to feedback, conflict, or perceived disappointment •struggling with ADHD-style busy brains or emotional regulation •quietly afraid they’re “too much” or “not enough” You don’t need another productivity system, mindset hack, or pressure to “get it together.” You need a space where: •you don’t have to perform •your nervous system can slow down •your thoughts don’t run the show •you can untangle what actually matters to you How we’ll work together My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) -a skills-based, evidence-supported approach that helps you: •get out of mental spirals without trying to force your thoughts away •respond more flexibly to stress, emotions, and uncertainty •build self-trust instead of self-criticism •create steadiness without losing your drive or ambition This isn’t about fixing you. It’s about learning how to be with yourself differently with more clarity, compassion, and choice. Support that fits campus life •Online therapy — flexible and accessible around classes, teaching, and work schedules •Walk & Talk sessions — for clients who think better with movement and nature •Small supportive groups — connection without pressure or emotional labor •Between-session tools — gentle prompts and supports so therapy doesn’t live only in the session If you’re wondering… •“Is therapy going to be too intense?” •“What if I don’t even know what I need?” •“What if I’m not ‘bad enough’ for therapy?” Those questions make sense — and you don’t need to answer them before reaching out. I offer complimentary consultations so you can get a feel for the process without pressure or obligation. You don’t have to know exactly what you want yet. We’ll start where you are — and move at a pace that actually works for you. 👉 Schedule a free consultation at www.thereddoortherapy.org ⸻ Emily MacNiven CO Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) LPC.0019496 Founder of The Red Door Therapy & Wellness Solutions Online therapy for adults across Colorado 🔗 www.thereddoortherapy.org

Welcome! I am most passionate about supporting clients in the LGBTQ+ community, and those working through religious trauma, childhood trauma, and childhood emotional neglect. Together we work on challenges like low self-esteem/self-concept, grief, guilt and shame, trouble making decisions, perfectionism, and people pleasing tendencies. I also support clients working through general anxiety, depression, and life stressors. Clients who may be a good fit for me are motivated to get to know themselves better, process wounds from past experiences, and practice engaging with life in new ways - when they feel ready to do so. I incorporate education about the central nervous system and body based/ sensory grounding techniques into sessions. For in person sessions, I provide fidgets, coloring pages, and collage materials. I will almost always be fidgeting in session. Sometimes clients prefer to sit on the floor or take off their shoes - I welcome sensory adjustments like this! I recognize clients as the experts of their own lives, and see the therapeutic relationship as a type of dance between curious people. I believe therapy can be for anyone, and engage in my own personal therapy journey as well. I aim to create an equitable and judgement free zone in my space. If you'd like me to join you on your journey, reach out! For clients using insurance, I have partnered with Mindful Therapy Group for scheduling, billing, and a physical office space. I can also offer a sliding scale for clients without insurance, though these sessions can only be offered virtually at this time.

I'm Julie TenBrook, PHMNP. I'm the owner of Open Minds. Open Minds symbolizes acceptance, on my part, of who you are without judgement. It, also, symbolizes the opening of your mind to change and healing. Being in college is a time of rapid growth. This can be hard. Figuring out how to navigate school, new relationships, new routines and define who you are as a young adult can be stressful. If you are feeling stressed, overwhelmed, and anxious, I can help. Treatment is tailored to what you need. It is usually multi-modal and not "just" medications or "just" therapy. Everyone's needs are different and we can design a treatment plan that fits you.

College is like a pressure cooker of compounding transitions. On top of demanding coursework, you are likely navigating the intense world of identity exploration. This can mean a lot of things; from the deeply personal layers of discovering your sexual orientation and gender identity, to simply figuring out who you are as an individual and what you actually want out of romantic and sexual relationships. As a queer therapist, I intimately understand the unique difficulties of navigating these shifts. I have walked this path myself, personally navigating profound changes in my own sexual orientation and gender identity, and I know how isolating it can feel to explore these core parts of yourself while trying to maintain your GPA. It is incredibly common to feel stuck in a major or career track that feels entirely wrong, paralyzed by the fear of starting over. I know that panic firsthand. I spent years working as a software developer before a season of deep introspection and counseling gave me the courage to make a massive pivot. Today, I am in a field I love deeply; one that brings me genuine passion far beyond a paycheck. If you are feeling misaligned with your current path, I offer specialized career counseling to help you cut through the external expectations, decode your true strengths, and confidently identify a professional field that actually fits your authentic self. Whether you are drowning in academic stress, untangling painful relationship patterns, processing trauma, or facing a complete directional pivot, you do not have to figure it out alone. Together, we will address the practical mechanics of stress management while diving deep into the relational dynamics that keep you stuck. I provide an encouraging, explicitly inclusive, and safe space where no topic is too messy or taboo. Your college years can feel incredibly destabilizing, but our work together will help you build the self-trust and clarity needed to step out of survival mode and into a life that is genuinely, authentically your own.
