I like getting to know my clients and their primary reason for seeking therapy. Clients should feel comfortable, welcome a challenge, but also feel that I can be a vessel for non-judgment. I am warm, open-minded, and direct. The goal is to have clients feel safe enough to explore their struggles so we can build a plan together for your optimal mental health and well-being.

Hi, I'm Kate Lipman (she/her). I hope we get the chance to connect. People I work with best often struggle with self-esteem, anxiety, and depression (among many other things). I love working with students as they navigate the sometimes rough waters of schooling and early adulthood. I hope our work together can be a steadying and calming force in the midst of those previously turbulent seas. Please reach out to me for a free 15-30 min phone call to see if we are a good fit!
My practice is focused on the use of Cognitive Behavior Therapy ("CBT") to reduce symptoms of anxiety, panic and/or depression. Most of the work deals with your present and future. I am goal-oriented and practical while very mindful of the emotions and relationship factors related to feeling better. My current practice is fully remote.
What if getting better didn't mean spending years talking about everything that's ever gone wrong? I work with college and grad students to build real, lasting change by providing insight and skills that actually help. With over a decade of clinical work in the US and abroad, I've helped young adults manage anxiety, quiet the perfectionism and imposter syndrome that follow them into every exam and internship, while creating a healthy type of confidence that remains under pressure. My clients describe working with me as supportive, direct, collaborative, and nothing like what they expected therapy to be. We figure out what's driving the pattern. Then we work on changing it. I specialize in: anxiety, burnout and stress, low self-esteem, perfectionism, and people-pleasing. My approach pulls from CBT, ACT, Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness, grounded in a trauma-informed model. You don't have to have it figured out to start. Currently offering Online Therapy throughout Massachusetts, New York, Colorado, Vermont, and Florida. Whether you are in Boston, NYC, or Denver, I am ready when you are.
Hi! I offer personalized therapy for individuals facing anxiety, life-transitions and stress. Together we will uncover patterns that keep you stuck and develop tools to manage challenges and create meaningful change.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist providing support to adults and university students around managing anxiety, life transitions, stress, career and academics, improving body image, and navigating interpersonal relationships. I have extensive experience working with young adults in college mental health settings, having trained at MIT and Tufts University, and having worked as a staff psychologist at the Harvard University Counseling Center. My approach in therapy is supportive, warm, active, curious, non-judgmental and caring. I work with clients to enhance anxiety management, coping skills, self-care, problem solving, stress management, and communication skills to create a more positive experience of day-to-day life. In addition, I help clients challenge unhelpful thought and behavior patterns that get in the way of having a healthy view of yourself and the world around you. Please email me to schedule a free 15 minute consult to see if we would be a good fit for therapy.
I work from a compassionate, whole person approach where trust and safety allow for awareness and growth. I work with adults at all stages of life, with a particular fondness for emerging young adulthood. My typical client may be experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, interpersonal challenges, grief and trauma. I would like to support you on your therapeutic journey and in my experience, a good relationship and rapport are the most important ingredients for successful therapy.
Virtual Therapy for students of color, LGBTQIA+ students, international students, third-culture kids, and anyone who’s ever felt like they don’t fully belong. On the outside, you might look like you’ve got it together. Inside, it feels different: - Racing thoughts that won’t stop - Tension in your body and exhaustion you can’t shake - Sleep struggles—restless nights or oversleeping to escape - Eating out of sync—skipping meals, stress eating, or feeling disconnected from hunger cues - Mood swings, irritability, or emotional flatness - School, friendships, romantic relationships, and even self-care feel overwhelming - Isolating when you actually crave connection ✨ This isn’t just “stress.” Often, it’s unprocessed trauma—from childhood, cultural pressure, identity struggles, or painful past experiences—that quietly fuels anxiety, depression, and feeling stuck. My approach: - Not quick fixes or endless coping skills - Trauma-informed and holistic therapy - Tools like Brainspotting + somatic therapy to help your nervous system heal, not just your thoughts - A space to uncover the root of what’s keeping you stuck and move toward lasting change What you can expect: - Feeling more grounded, present, and connected—to yourself, your community, and your future - Support from someone who gets it: as an Asian clinician and former international student, I understand the challenges of navigating multiple cultures and expectations - A space where you don’t have to over-explain—you can show up fully, take up space, and finally feel seen
My approach to therapy is active, flexible, goal-oriented, and collaborative. Ultimately, my role is to help you gain the skills, insights, and self-compassion to be your own therapist. I meet clients where they are, help them to clarify their goals, identify what stands in their way, and work through (or with) these obstacles through the use of CBT, ACT and short-term psychodynamic approaches. I pay special attention to cultural and contextual factors that may be relevant to your concerns and treatment. In my work in university, refugee and veterans’ clinic settings, I've had the opportunity to engage with diverse populations and a wide array of presenting concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions and relational concerns. If you think we may be a good match, please get in touch to schedule a 15-minute consultation.
