College is supposed to be one of the best times of your life, so why does it sometimes feel like the hardest? Maybe you're juggling more than you ever have before - classes, deadlines, relationships, and the pressure to perform academically while somehow also figuring out who you are and where you belong. Maybe the adjustment to college life has been harder than you expected - the homesickness, the new environment, the feeling that everyone else seems to be thriving while you're just trying to keep your head above water. Maybe anxiety has become your constant companion, or stress has made it hard to enjoy the things you used to love. Maybe you're asking bigger questions too - who am I, really? What do I actually want? Where am I headed? - and the pressure to have it all figured out feels overwhelming. Or maybe nothing dramatic has happened, and that almost makes it harder to explain. You just know something feels off, and you're not quite sure where to turn. Here's what I want you to know: you don't have to have it all together to reach out. You don't need a crisis to deserve support. College is one of the most profound transitions of your life - a time of incredible growth, but also real uncertainty, loneliness, and pressure that often goes unseen. I offer warm, collaborative, judgment-free therapy for college students navigating exactly this. Together we can work through anxiety and stress, explore who you are and who you want to become, and help you find your footing - so you can actually show up for your life, not just get through it. You deserve a space that's entirely yours - and finding the right therapist should feel like a good fit, not another stressor. That's why I offer a free 15-minute consultation - no pressure, no commitment - just a chance to chat, ask questions, and see if this feels right for you. Think of it as a low-stakes first step toward feeling more like yourself again. I'd be honored to be that space. Please reach out anytime. I'm here whenever you're ready.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a private practice in midtown Manhattan. When I decided to go back to school for a master’s degree, I chose social work because I felt strongly about its foundational belief that focus should be on both a person and their environment. During graduate school at Fordham University I saw many appealing paths I could continue on after graduation. While both macro and micro levels of practice are extremely important, I felt best suited for work with individuals on a deeper level. I wanted to further my education and went on to complete the four-year postgraduate training program in Adult Psychoanalysis and Comprehensive Psychotherapy from The National Institute for the Psychotherapies. Prior to private practice I worked with a diverse population in various clinics throughout New York City. In addition to private practice I have been guest faculty at the Training Institute for Mental Health and taught a course on Eating Disorders. In March 2020, I completed a post master’s program in Spirituality and Social Work at New York University.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience, I consider myself a compassionate and skilled therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate the challenges of anxiety, depression, and life transitions. With a solid foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness, I employ an eclectic style, integrating evidence-based practices to tailor my approach to each client's unique needs. I have a special commitment to LGBTQ wellness and take an inclusive and affirming approach, creating a safe space for individuals to explore their identities and address unique challenges they may face. The majority of my career has focused on addiction treatment, assessment, and recovery. Recovery is complex, and I assist clients in building resilience, coping skills, and fostering a sense of empowerment in their recovery journey. No two paths are the same – I’m here to help you find your own best path and the best tools to clear the way. Reach out today for a free conversation to see if we’re a good fit!
Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck doesn’t mean something is wrong with you. It usually means you’ve been carrying a lot for a long time. I work with college students and young adults who are trying to keep up on the outside while feeling stressed, burned out, or unsure of themselves on the inside. Therapy with me is practical, supportive, and focused on helping you understand what’s actually driving your anxiety, overthinking, or self-doubt, and what to do about it in real life. Sessions are a space to slow things down, make sense of what’s going on, and build tools you can use outside of therapy. You don’t need to have the right words, a clear goal, or a crisis to start. We take things at your pace and figure it out together. If you’re curious about therapy but not sure it’s for you, a consultation is a low-pressure way to ask questions and see if it feels like a good fit.

I am an LCSW specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, trauma and co-occurring mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety and trauma. An eating disorder can consume your life. Eating disorders are about complex issues that impact your physical and mental health. They are a way of coping with difficult thoughts and emotions through disturbances in eating behaviors. Full recovery is possible. Using psychodynamic interventions, EMDR and behavioral techniques such as CBT, DBT and Mindfulness, I help clients access and express their thoughts and emotions, find relief from physical symptoms, heal through practicing self-compassion, and become motivated to make meaningful changes in their lives. My work is collaborative and supportive, emphasizing emotional healing and personal growth. Together we will work creatively to explore your life, identify ways to overcome your challenges, and connect with your strengths and resilience.
Trauma can be an invisible wound that can affect many parts of our lives we don’t even realize. I work with clients with depression, anxiety, adoption triad concerns, and trauma-related issues. Change can be hard. Having the courage to reach out and discuss your inner pain and anxiety is the first step. I want to help you work through your past painful experiences, feelings of shame, and traumatic events so that you can create a new life path. I believe each person has their own pace, and am willing to find therapies and strategies that work for you. My approach is open-minded, trauma-based, cognitive, and holistic. I started my career in psychology and counseling when I experienced a suicide in my family. It gave me the courage to make changes for myself, and help people around me who were also suffering grief, loss, and depression. I’m an advocate of mental health issues, a proud adoptee, and a supporter of the arts. **I only accept insurance in the state of North Carolina**

Hello, My name is Lauren Pezzo and I am the owner of Dedicated Peace. I am a solo practitioner seeing clients remotely. I treat a variety of ages from 13 - 55+ and I am most familiar with Mood Disorders (Depression, Anxiety, Bi-Polar, Panic, etc). I have worked with individuals with a history of trauma be it recent or in the past. I do well with relationship issues, couples sessions and handling familial conflict. I am very big on clients learning to change their narrative. Meaning being open to changing the various stories we tend to tell and sell ourselves over the years. I want to help people think in the grey area of life and be open to challenging narrow thinking we may have become accustomed to.
Have you arrived at a point in your life where carrying so much emotional and mental weight is becoming significant in your life? These challenges can present as feeling stuck and/or experiencing depression, anxiety & more. I believe arriving to Self can happen by showing up completely through the internal work that focuses on awareness, connection, mindfulness, ancestral wisdom, and community. I work with individuals seeking alignment who are open to an integrative approach to therapy. Our partnership explores a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences. Your unique story is approached with the desired goals and changes that can bring balance into your life. I offer a culturally humble and holistic approach along with evidence-based modalities as well as holistic modalities (teachings from Yoga, Reiki, and plant medicine). Therapy can be a powerful way to help you delve into the deep, inner work that helps one develop awareness of intergenerational patterns and traumas that may keep you stuck in the past and struggling to thrive in the present. Healing yourself means healing community - congratulations in making the step towards embodying the wholeness and truth of you!

Chronic illness impacts more than physical health; it can shape your identity, relationships, academics, and emotional wellbeing. My name is Dr. Suzanna Mila Chen. I am a Board-Certified M.D. psychiatrist and I run a private boutique practice in NY. My specialties are psychodynamic and CBT psychotherapy. I can also provide medication management to supplement psychotherapy only IF and WHEN it is appropriate and medically necessary. Through a holistic approach I also incorporate lifestyle changes and can add evidence-based supplements when needed. I have experience providing counseling to undergraduate and graduate students at Fordham University Lincoln Center, and providing therapy and at times medications for Albert Einstein College of Medicine students. I have a special interest in building confidence, reducing anxiety, improving work-life balance, addressing pathological perfectionism, addressing people-pleasing, supporting high-achieving students and professionals in their goals, healing emotional wounds from narcissistic parents and dysfunctional family dynamics in general, maneuvering relationships (including interracial and intercultural relationships), and navigating culture and identity. I also have further training in perinatal mental health from PSI. Please note that I do not take in-network for medication management only (ie without therapy).
I support adults navigating anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and periods of transition that may leave them feeling disconnected or unsure of their next steps. While I have a particular passion for supporting women of color, I work with clients from a variety of backgrounds who are looking to build confidence, strengthen boundaries, and create a greater sense of belonging and connection in their lives. Together, we'll help you reconnect with yourself, your values, and the relationships that matter most. I work with clients experiencing loneliness, social disconnection, or uncertainty during periods of transition. Whether you're navigating changes in relationships, adjusting to a new stage of life, or hoping to build deeper connections, we can work together to cultivate a stronger sense of belonging and create a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling. Prior to private practice, I worked with youth and families in the foster care system, an experience that deepened my appreciation for resilience, community, and the importance of supportive relationships. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. I specialize in supporting women of color navigating anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and life transitions that leave them feeling disconnected from themselves, others, or their sense of direction. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to explore their experiences with curiosity rather than criticism. I primarily draw from cognitive behavioral approaches while tailoring treatment to each client's unique experiences, values, and goals. Together, we will identify patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress, challenge ways of thinking that no longer serve you, and develop practical strategies that support meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to help clients build confidence, establish healthier boundaries, and move through life with greater clarity, self-trust, and intention.
I am passionate about working with teens and children as they navigate life transitions and social dynamics. I tailor my approach to each client, recognizing their unique traits, goals, abilities, as well as their specific background and environment. My therapeutic style is eclectic, strengths-based, and grounded in evidence-based practices (including CBT, Mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing), with a profound understanding that there is no substitute for empathy. I often bring my passions for art and movement into session as I integrate creative projects and the mind-body connection to help clients achieve their goals. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your mental health journey.
