My ideal clients are students who have a tremendous reservoir of resources in managing their school-work life balance, despite having experienced a traumatic incident in their life. These students are often those who have experienced a sexual assault and noticed that it has made it difficult for them to stay on top of their workload, connect with others, and more. Other students I enjoy working with are those who are explored their identity in terms of sexual orientation, intimate relationships, and gender identity. These types of students are often very insightful and want to share their thoughts on a safe and non-judgmental atmosphere.
One of the greatest gifts I've received in my 19+ years of private practice, has been to witness individuals as they move towards healing, and discover a more fulfilling, whole life. The hold an eating disorder, anxiety or trauma can have on a life is profound. To watch the grip loosen, and healing emerge, is very moving. I enjoy learning, and collecting new tools and skills to help my clients. After I obtained my MSW from New York University's School of Social Work, I completed postgraduate training in eating disorders and body image issues at the Women's Therapy Centre Institute, and in Trauma Studies at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy. In addition, I completed a three-year training in Somatic Experiencing, and have assisted at professional trainings, helping other therapists to learn the model. I've led eating disorder groups for New York University's Counseling Center and various non-profit organizations, and have served as both a lecturer and group case consultant on eating disorders and trauma at postgraduate institutes in New York City. Interested in creating a culturally and spiritually sensitive practice, I completed a two-year program studying the world's major faith traditions, in an effort to better understand my clients from all backgrounds. I do not take any insurance. My fees range from $150-175 based on need, and I do not presently have a sliding scale beyond that range. If you have questions, or would like to request an appointment, please feel free to contact me. I offer ONLINE ONLY therapy in CA, CO and NY.
I practice online, utilizing HIPAA compliant videoconferencing software. My clients are people seeking help with depression, anxiety, family conflict, relationship issues and life transitions. My approach is collaborative and supportive, yet also challenging. Our task is to unpack the issues that are being brought up in our sessions and use them to facilitate growth and change. The relationship we develop is the most important thing to me.

Are you highly attuned to others, having been told you're "too sensitive"? Do you struggle with setting boundaries, people-pleasing or burning out from perfectionism and a constantly full calendar? It can be exhausting to balance the weight of being highly sensitive while also meeting the standards set by us, our families, and communities. These behaviors are often connected to earlier relationships, such as family dynamics that can shape how we interact with others later in life. Therapy is a space to help you explore how past relationships shape your present, empowering you to respond to stress in ways that honor your needs. I'm an LCSW with 7+ years of experience working with members of the queer community, neurodiverse individuals, and those managing chronic mental health and medical conditions. I’ve spent my career supporting individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, and complex family dynamics. We'll collaborate together to identify and work towards goals that will help you take ownership over your life and build the reality you want to see. Whether it's setting boundaries with parents, letting go of perfectionism, or beginning a challenging career endeavor- I’m here to listen and support you with warmth, curiosity, silliness, and honesty. I'm a queer, Jewish therapist who has experience working with queer Jewish community ranging from those who identify as secular to Orthodox. Navigating queerness from a religious framework has its own unique challenges. Regardless of your background, we'll work together to explore your identity and how that interacts with the world around you.
Her Purpose psych provides a space where everyone can expect a supportive, collaborative environment where they feel safe, heard, and respected. My goal is to create a nonjudgmental space that encourages open conversation about mental health needs and personal goals. In sessions with me, you can expect a safe and welcoming space where you can talk openly about what you’re going through. We’ll work together to create a plan that fits your needs — whether that includes coping skills, lifestyle changes, or medication support. My goal is to help you feel understood, build confidence, and give you tools to manage stress, anxiety, depression, or other challenges so you can feel more balanced and in control of your life.
I believe everyone is an artist. My therapy works with the creative souls in all of my clients, from dormant creatives to professional artists. Unfortunately, we all experience trauma of some kind during our lives. Traumatic experiences leave scars on our bodies and our minds that can't speak through words. However, we can listen to and understand our unspeakable pain through the creative arts. Art and creativity are the guides that lead us to healing and solace. Talk therapy is a good a way to get to know you, your coping mechanisms, and identify your goals. We go deeper with creative arts such as drawing and writing, as well as working with the body and mindfulness. Most importantly, you will experience the sense of being understood and seen in the mind and heart of a loving, attuned human being. It is my honor to work with you and witness your precious vulnerability. Much of my effort goes to provide a protective environment so we can work at your own pace and comfort level. Finding a therapist requires courage, and asking for help is a sign of strength. Call me for a free consultation and we'll figure it out together.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in New York City, providing therapy in both English and Spanish. I work one-on-one with folks navigating trauma, relationship challenges, maternal mental health, life transitions, and identity exploration. My approach focuses on slowing down to recognize the patterns in our lives—those that serve us and those that no longer do—so we can begin to move toward creating the life we want. I have experience supporting individuals impacted by domestic violence, gender-based violence, sexual abuse, immigration stressors, and LGBTQ+ issues, including gender identity. I take a collaborative, holistic approach to therapy, offering a safe, supportive space to slow down, reflect, and explore who you are and who you want to become. I believe our emotions offer meaningful insight. By understanding our patterns, we create space for healing, growth, and a more connected, authentic life. Life can be unpredictable and overwhelming, and you don’t have to navigate it alone. In therapy, we’ll explore ways to cope with challenges, reconnect with moments of joy, and find steadiness and strength in an ever-changing world. Together, we can safely explore how to thrive in a changing world.

I believe all human beings want to be seen, understood, and accepted. As a therapist, I offer a warm, safe, and patient space for such an experience. With over a decade of clinical experience, my therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in helping individuals foster self-reflection and emotional expression. I guide clients through life transitions and help them process a diverse range of emotions, thoughts, traumas, and complex relationships that may cause distress. For instance, I assist clients in processing feelings such as worry, shame, guilt, fear, and sadness, while also facilitating acceptance, trust, hope, forgiveness, accountability, and a sense of enoughness. My practice is also trauma-informed, ensuring that the impacts of past traumas are validated and that safety and trust are established during the healing process. With an eclectic therapeutic approach, I tailor my services to each person's unique needs, employing three main modalities: Emotion Focused/ Psychodynamic Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, & Mindfulness-based/Somatic-based Therapy. Please visit the Frequently Asked Questions section for additional details about these modalities. My approach is centered around helping clients develop self-esteem, authenticity, and emotional regulation skills through building a compassionate presence and mindful awareness. We focus on the present, while integrating the past and being courageously hopeful for the future, even if uncertain. “I want to feel happier and less depressed.” “We would like to improve our relationship.” “I would like to feel calmer and more in control, in spite of the stress, loss and trauma I have experienced.” “We want to help our children cope with our divorce.” “We need to figure out how we are going to live as a divorced family.” These are some of the most frequent goals of my clients as we work together. Many of the stresses and conflicts my clients face can be due to life’s experiences and losses or can come from within. Stress and conflict can lead to disintegration of relationships with our partners and our children, and even in how we view ourselves. Strengthening coping skills, emotional connection and intimacy can help repair fractures, increase compassionate understanding, and build closeness. Focusing on positive growth, shifting well-engrained patterns, and building greater self-acceptance can create lasting change and happiness. As a clinical psychologist with over 40 years of experience, I help adults, couples and families, by integrating many different therapeutic approaches to best fit my clients’ needs.
Hi! my name is Kevin! thank you for taking a moment to view my profile! I believe that therapy provides an opportunity to talk about tough subjects without judgment, and the more we talk about them, the less stigmatized they can make us feel while opening possibilities for greater connection. I aim to aid each of my patients in discovering safety and trust within our therapeutic relationship to improve their quality of life and the lives of those around them. I have a strong desire to know the person (or people) in front of me as ‘people’ rather than a set of symptoms or diagnostic criteria. Beyond merely considering the symptoms patients are experiencing, I look at the interconnectedness of the systems that may influence what’s bringing them into therapy, including work, school, religious institutions, economic status, family, relationships, and more.
