Hi, I'm Lisa Grine, MSN, APN, PMHNP-BC Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for College Students What Students Say About Me "Great listener, knowledgeable, and kind-hearted." Years of Experience 10 years+ My Approach I'm both warm and direct—able to match whatever you need in that moment. Sometimes that means sitting with you quietly and listening. Other times it means telling you what I see, even when it's hard to hear. Our sessions are structured conversations, not free-flowing chats. I believe that clarity helps. What I Work With Most • Anxiety, mood concerns,(mental health during prenatal, during pregnancy, and postpartum needs), and depression to name a few • High-achieving students experiencing burnout and life transitions • Young adults-both undergrad and graduate students How I Work Often, college students feel forced to choose between success and wellbeing — but together, we can find a way to balance both! I take a holistic approach to care, which means looking at the whole person, not just symptoms. And let's be honest, it's no surprise that college life can throw our health off track — skipping fresh air, surviving on less-than-ideal food, and running on questionable amounts of sleep are basically a rite of passage. Integrative and Holistic care also means honoring your religious beliefs, ethics, morals, and value systems, because those things genuinely shape who you are. I offer medications when clinically appropriate, but my focus goes far beyond that. Having worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, I understand the intensity of acute care as well as the importance of building sustainable, everyday coping strategies that actually fit your life. Who I'm Best Suited For I tend to connect well with women, men, and provide mental health support for women who are pregnant, peri/postpartum. I am strictly telehealth and so if someone needs a stimulant or controlled substance I can recommend providers who are in person or hybrid to match those needs based on current laws and restrictions. I'm upfront about this because I believe matching matters. If you are in any acute danger please seek emergency care first as this practice is outpatient. If you're looking for a provider who shares certain values or experiences, that can make a difference in how comfortable you feel.

I am a Licensed LMHC by the University of NYS, bilingual in both English and Spanish. I began my career in 1988 as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at the University of Buenos Aires with a concentration in Psychoanalysis and Psychological Testing. I later became a Psycho-dramatist dealing with Psychodynamic interventions, as well as Behavioral techniques and Counseling. I have over 30 years of experience. 2. I began working for the National Argentinean Board of Education where I created, implemented and led psycho-dramatic seminaries, helping principals and teachers at intermediate and elementary schools. I was the primary contact for families and staff to facilitate fluid communication and good education for children. 3. As a Private Practice Professional, I developed treatment plans tailored specifically to my clients. I also supervised clinical cases, coordinated care and services such as interaction with patients, family members and physicians from hospitals to facilitate adequate transferring. I later developed strong psychological skills in coaching, consulting and counseling of top executives in corporations such as Telecom Argentina, Phillip Morris Argentina. I also have had extensive experience in counseling immigrants, especially unaccompanied minors and their available family members, for potential immigration relief. Most of these individuals do not speak English and the vast majority of them are unable to understand the complexity and intricacy of U.S. immigration laws even in their native Spanish. They may not even be aware that they have pending court cases, and may not appear at a scheduled hearing, which often leads to very serious consequences 4. I currently specialize as a Bilingual Psychotherapist targeting young people and adults who suffer from disorders such as PTSD, Major Depression, Psychosis and Anxiety. I also work with individual and family counseling, helping with diagnosis and crisis intervention, and serving parents with their own dynamics within the family. 5. I serve as PRN Clinician (Clinician called as needed) for BCFS working with unaccompanied asylum-seeking minors. I believe that anyone can benefit from counseling, whether or not you have a significant mental health issue or are just facing stressful situations and life transitions. I work collaboratively with each individual client to form goals and a treatment plan that is as unique as the person I'm working with. Common issues that I help clients with include (but are not limited to): anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, anger management, relationship issues, LGBTQIA issues and concerns, self-esteem, family issues, and overall self-improvement. Some clients are looking for short-term counseling to address a specific issue that they currently face, while others are looking for long-term counseling to work through issues from the past or to learn to cope with chronic symptoms. I am here to help no matter where you fall on that spectrum! I am also happy to speak with you on the phone before setting up an initial appointment to determine if I am a good fit for what you hope to get out of therapy.

Life can feel overwhelming and confusing when we are met with expectations that do not align with our authentic self. I believe positive and effective change can happen once we become more confident and empowered within ourselves. I work with individuals to feel confident to make effective change within their life in order meet their personal and therapeutic goals. I primarily work individuals with disrupted attachments related to childhood trauma, and sexual trauma; in addition to PTSD, depression, anxiety, and OCD (specifically related to Relationships, Contamination, Perfectionism, and Health).

I work with college students across New York State through video and phone therapy. Many students I see feel overwhelmed by anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, relationship stress, procrastination, or uncertainty about the future. Even high achieving students can feel stuck, exhausted, or disconnected from themselves. Sometimes you need space to vent, process, and feel heard. Other times, you want concrete strategies and a clearer path forward. I believe therapy should be both supportive and active, a place where you can talk honestly about what’s weighing on you while also building practical tools that help you feel better outside of sessions. As a Level 3 certified TEAM CBT therapist, I take a collaborative, goal oriented approach that helps students better understand the patterns keeping them stuck while building skills to manage emotions, improve confidence, and create meaningful change. The insights and strategies you gain in therapy can continue supporting you long after sessions end. If you’re ready to feel more grounded, capable, and connected, reach out for a free 15 minute consultation to see if we’d be a good fit.

Psychotherapy is a profoundly personal and individualized process. It can foster a deeper understanding of self and others, promote healing and resilience, increase coping skills, change behaviors, instill hope, create meaning, and help individuals live their lives in more emotionally honest, authentic, and relationally connected ways. At the heart of the therapeutic process is a collaborative working relationship between therapist and client, and the best outcomes are achieved when there is a feeling of connection and understanding between the two. Continually attending to the fit between therapist and client is important in establishing a relationship that has the strength and ability to explore difficult experiences and the impact of those experiences on clients’ lives. Dr. Kapadia approaches the work with both curiosity and compassion, tailoring the treatment to the individual and using an integrative approach to meet each person’s needs. She draws from a variety of therapeutic orientations, including interpersonal, psychodynamic, family systems, and affect regulation models (cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavior therapies).

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Welcome! I'm Krystal Haas, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). You may see letters next to the names you find on your search, like LCSW, PsyD, or LMHC, and so on. Looking for a therapist can be a daunting and confusing task, so first I'd like to congratulate you on taking your first step. I'm hoping I can make it a little easier by sharing about myself and how I may be able to help you reach your goals. In my case, as an LMHC, my master's degree education was geared specifically to counseling and learning all of the skills necessary to work directly with people. I've been working for about 5 years now as a clinician, and started my private practice at the end of 2022 - one of the best decisions I've ever made! I work with a variety of ages including kids, teens, and young adults, and I often work with individuals who are struggling with the transition to college and/or adulthood. If you've been experiencing anxiety, depression, changes in mood, identity exploration, stress, or problems with "adulting", then we may be a good match! I use methods like CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and eclectic methods, but that may all sound like gibberish. Essentially, I take an educational and supportive approach by listening to your concerns and needs, and then working with you to establish a way to reach your goals. Even if we don't have all the answers right away, it can help to know you have someone on your team to listen. If this sounds up your alley, you're more than welcome to reach out by phone or email to schedule a free 15 minute consultation. I hope to connect, and wish you best of luck on your search!

Thoughts and emotions can be so powerful, but they can lead us to feeling stuck, lost, confused, dread, or even exhausted. We become so worked up that we might not know how to manage. We tend to isolate, panic, feel unseen, feel unheard, and become irritated because we don’t have the words. Clients will get to meet their present selves by exploring multiple aspects of their lives such as relationships with others and themselves, inner dialogue, communication, anxiety, depression, and more.As a therapist, I aim to create a space where clients have the opportunity to be vulnerable, grow, and feel empowered while working toward their goals and developing new skill sets. I offer a compassionate, creative, and individualized approach that is collaborative and non-judgmental. Together we will develop a deeper understanding of emotions, somatic symptoms, inner dialogue, boundaries, and how we view ourselves in order to improve our quality of life.
