My practice centers on creating a safe and nurturing space for you to explore what is going on with you; your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, desires, strengths, and challenges. We will work collaboratively to move away from feelings like shame and guilt to make space for self-compassion, acceptance and growth. Together we will explore underlying challenges or barriers to reaching your hopes and goals and work through any blockages that come along the way. If you are new to therapy, you are welcome here! It can be an intimidating process to seek help - I hope to be a guide and support on your journey. I approach my sessions with a dynamic and interpersonal lens as we work together to explore your internal and external landscapes. Together, we will identify any barriers or unhelpful patterns of thoughts and behaviors, and then identify strategies and tools to help you disrupt unhealthy cycles. I believe in the power of authentic human connection and I employ a warm, direct, humanistic and solution-focused approach with clients. Our time together will focus on developing a deep understanding of who you are, what you want to work on in a judgment free environment that will help you engage in your work meaningfully and vulnerably.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, curiosity, and the belief that meaningful change is possible. College is supposed to be one of the best times of your life, so why does it sometimes feel like the hardest? Maybe you're juggling more than you ever have before - classes, deadlines, relationships, and the pressure to perform academically while somehow also figuring out who you are and where you belong. Maybe the adjustment to college life has been harder than you expected - the homesickness, the new environment, the feeling that everyone else seems to be thriving while you're just trying to keep your head above water. Maybe anxiety has become your constant companion, or stress has made it hard to enjoy the things you used to love. Maybe you're asking bigger questions too - who am I, really? What do I actually want? Where am I headed? - and the pressure to have it all figured out feels overwhelming. Or maybe nothing dramatic has happened, and that almost makes it harder to explain. You just know something feels off, and you're not quite sure where to turn. Here's what I want you to know: you don't have to have it all together to reach out. You don't need a crisis to deserve support. College is one of the most profound transitions of your life - a time of incredible growth, but also real uncertainty, loneliness, and pressure that often goes unseen. I offer warm, collaborative, judgment-free therapy for college students navigating exactly this. Together we can work through anxiety and stress, explore who you are and who you want to become, and help you find your footing - so you can actually show up for your life, not just get through it. You deserve a space that's entirely yours - and finding the right therapist should feel like a good fit, not another stressor. That's why I offer a free 15-minute consultation - no pressure, no commitment - just a chance to chat, ask questions, and see if this feels right for you. Think of it as a low-stakes first step toward feeling more like yourself again. I'd be honored to be that space. Please reach out anytime. I'm here whenever you're ready.
I believe in a personalized approach that meets you where you are in your life. I incorporate a variety of different styles and techniques depending on what is going on in your life and what you need. In the initial sessions, you can expect me to get to know you and what is going on in your life. Known for being thoughtful and understanding, I ask questions to spark reflection and help you gain insights. Establishing a solid connection is essential; I aim to create a space where you feel at ease, understood, and never pressured to share anything until you're ready. My work is rooted in cultural humility, inclusivity, and trauma-informed care. I am committed to affirming LGBTQ+ identities, honoring neurodivergence, and understanding how race, culture, gender, class, and ability shape each person’s unique experience.
I specializes in supporting adults dealing with challenges such as anxiety, procrastination, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. Together, you'll learn effective and practical skills using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). For deeper healing, we can use Brainspotting to access and process deeply rooted beliefs and trauma, often beyond the reach of traditional talk therapy. My practice is located in New York and is completely remote.
Every client has unique stories and needs. I blend clinical expertise with a compassionate environment rooted in empathy, trust, and collaboration. I have extensive experience assisting clients in navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I don't believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach. Together, we will work to identify the issues and goals most important to you. To help you achieve meaningful growth, I tailor aspects of CBT, ACT, and DBT, including mindfulness and distress tolerance skills, to your unique situation. I believe the relationship between the client and therapist is critical for healing. I will work to encourage, support, and guide you as you make your own choices and lead your own progress. I invite you to reach out for a consultation to see if we are a good match for the goals you want to achieve.
My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, weaving together elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS), narrative therapy, somatic awareness, and creative expression. Grounded in classic psychodynamics and viewed through a queer lens, my work resists rigid categories and honors complexity, multiplicity, and self-determination. I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and LGBTQIA+ individuals navigating identity, trauma, and structural inequity. Whether you're carrying the weight of old wounds, stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or rewriting your own story, I am here to help you make sense of it all at your own pace.
I work especially well with clients who think deeply, feel intensely, and are tired of talking in circles—whether you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, low mood, or big life transitions. My approach blends evidence-informed psychotherapy with optional art-based work to help you access emotions, shift patterns, and build steadier self-trust. You don’t need to be “creative” to benefit—this is about expression and insight, not making something perfect.
Have you ever said, "I feel good when I am dancing/ drawing/ coloring/ writing/ creating art, etc?" Do you struggle with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, or simply haven't been feeling like yourself? Are you looking to let go of these struggles, gain control of your anxiety, become your best self, and enjoy life again? If so, you've come to the right human. I work with women and femmes who enjoy art-making (movement, art, creative writing, etc) to overcome low self-esteem, anxiety, past traumas, and depression using creative arts therapy. Together we use the arts to process and release things we no longer need to hold on to, becoming free, healed, and more in tune with our most authentic, divine self. You deserve a life of joy, prosperity, and wellness. I believe in the power within you to overcome your struggles. Together we will use the arts for your healing. The healing begins with ourselves. From there, we can heal our family, our community, our nation, and then the world.
I work with students who need more or different support than they are able to access on-campus. You may be looking for long-term therapy or for a therapist who specializes in working with people like you. I am trained in several types of therapy (ACT, DBT, relational, multicultural-feminist) and apply them flexibly based on what you need. Students who work with me are often looking for longer-term therapy, where we address deeper issues in a safe relationship, at your own pace. Others are seeking individual therapy that makes room for activism and the big problems of our time. We may be a good fit for therapy together if you are coping with a difficult family, relationship trouble, recurrent mental health problems (e.g. BPD, PTSD, MDD, GAD), or a life transition (e.g. grief, divorce, pregnancy, moving, spiritual/religious crisis). I also have particular experience working with medical students. Finally, I am a climate-aware and social justice-focused therapist; this means your experience with collective problems like white supremacy and the climate crisis is a welcome, respected, and important part of therapy. I don't take insurance, but I offer sliding scale fees based on financial need. Please reach out to me for a 15-minute phone call to see what might be possible in our work together!
Are you overwhelmed or feeling unsure what you’re doing? Struggling in a relationship or maybe a bit lonely? I help people reconnect to what matters to them while relieving feelings of anxiety and depression. Please feel free to reach out and we can set up a free consultation session - you'll get a feel for what it's like to work with me and whether that would be helpful.
I help people to develop their identity and self-esteem. This is the foundation for lessening anxiety, improving mood, and feeling comfortable in your own skin. I have had a lot of success working with college students along these lines. If you are interested in exploring who you are give me a call and let's talk.
