Starting college or graduate school —or navigating your way through them—can be both exciting and overwhelming. Many students find themselves facing stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, identity questions, academic pressure, or major life transitions, often for the first time. You don’t have to figure it all out on your own. I specialize in working with college students and young adults, and I understand the unique pressures of university life—from managing expectations and finding your place, to coping with self-doubt, loneliness, or burnout. Whether you’re struggling or simply wanting to better understand yourself and grow, therapy can be a space where things begin to feel more manageable and more hopeful. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I believe that meaningful change happens in a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship, where you feel safe to be yourself and explore what’s really going on beneath the surface. Together, we’ll work at your pace to better understand your experiences, build resilience, and develop tools that help you move forward with greater confidence and clarity. I have over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, including working in university counseling centers, where I supported students through many of the challenges you may be facing now. I’ve worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds and identities, and I am committed to creating an inclusive, affirming space where you feel seen and respected. I also have experience working with international students, students with disabilities and chronic health conditions, Deaf and hard of hearing students, and those navigating complex family or cultural dynamics. Reaching out for support can feel like a big step—but it can also be the beginning of feeling more like yourself again. You deserve support, understanding, and a space to grow. I would be honored to be part of that process with you.

I’m a licensed psychologist and have worked with college-age young adults for many years. I have a youthful energy and I believe in being a good and supportive listener. I utilize evidence-based cognitive-behavioral and acceptance and commitment therapy interventions to help young adults create and apply effective action plans in their life. I’m not interested in helping young adults merely admire their problems, is this usually results in remaining stuck. Instead, I work collaboratively to identify promising interventions to move our life forward towards desired goals. This, I find, is the only way for a person to build genuine confidence.
Hi, I’m Dhvani! I offer virtual therapy sessions for students in NY and NJ who may be looking for support beyond their campus counseling center. I work with people navigating anxiety, stress, relationship concerns, and life transitions—especially during demanding or uncertain times in school. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, feel heard, and begin to make sense of what you’re going through. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices like mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I understand that therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. Together, we’ll tailor our work based on your goals—whether that means building practical tools to manage day-to-day stress or exploring deeper patterns that may be shaping your experiences. Finding the right therapist matters. If you’re interested in working together, I’d be happy to connect for a free consultation to see if it feels like a good fit for you.

I believe in healing through corrective experiences. It is possible to heal from trauma & anxiety, rather than just learning coping with it! I prefer to use methods that are designed to alleviate the distress associated with painful memories. This includes Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) and other Experiential Therapy modalities that are proven to be equally as effective in a virtual setting.
With more than a decade of experience as a licensed clinical social worker, I support adults 18 and older as they navigate some of life's most complex and personal challenges. My areas of expertise include ADHD, complex PTSD and trauma, attachment disorders, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, substance use, grief and loss, and life transitions. For those navigating relational difficulties, I also offer couples counseling, family therapy, and group counseling to help strengthen the connections that matter most. At the heart of my work is the belief that healing begins within a safe, authentic, and supportive therapeutic relationship, one where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood. Finding the right therapist is a deeply personal process, and I encourage you to trust yourself in choosing the path that feels like the best fit. I take a holistic and collaborative approach to care, one that is always tailored to your unique needs. Drawing from psychoanalytic, person-centered, humanistic, and cognitive-behavioral perspectives, I integrate evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, narrative therapy, somatic work, trauma-informed care, and attachment-based interventions. For those in couples or family therapy, this foundation helps strengthen communication, deepen connection, and create lasting change in your relationships. Whatever brings you here, my goal is to help you connect with your inner guidance, develop tools for growth, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life. My path to becoming a therapist is a personal one. At 18, I knew something was wrong and reached out for help, scared and unsure of what to expect. What I found changed everything. My first therapist left a lasting impression on my life, and her impact planted the seed for the work I do today. That experience shaped not only my decision to become a therapist, but the kind of therapist I strive to be: someone who meets you with the care and presence that truly makes a difference. Outside of sessions, you'll often find me lost in a good book, working on a piece of writing, or hiking with my group through whatever trail is next on the list. I never pass up a chance to get to the beach, and live music holds a special place in my heart. Above all, I cherish the time I spend with my family and friends, and being a mom is one of my greatest joys.
I am passionate about providing a warm and supportive space for us to work together to help you feel better quickly. I work with young adults struggling with depression and anxiety. Through the TEAM-CBT approach I will first listen to your story and then develop a plan for recovery. I will teach you specific strategies that you can utilize to work through your struggle. We will track your progress at each session and make meaningful progress towards your goals. You will learn tools to challenge your negative self-talk and can experience relief in just a few weeks.
Healing is rarely linear, and finding a provider who truly meets you where you are can make all the difference. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner bringing extensive clinical experience to every session, I specialize in helping people across the lifespan navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and mood disorders. Whether you're facing something you've carried for years or navigating a new and difficult chapter, you deserve a space grounded in trust and open, honest communication. My goal is to be a reliable, collaborative partner in your care, helping you gain clarity, strengthen your coping skills, and move toward meaningful, lasting change. Compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered care is more than a philosophy; it's how every session is shaped. Helping you better understand your mental health and build a sustainable path toward healing and resilience is what this work is all about. You can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where your unique needs and goals guide the direction of care. Drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and medication management, my focus is on developing practical coping skills and improving your emotional well-being. Every approach is thoughtfully tailored to you, because no two people, and no two journeys, are exactly the same. My path to this work began with early work in psychiatric facilities, where I witnessed firsthand the power of compassionate, consistent mental health care. Experiencing that impact deepened my commitment to trauma-informed, patient-centered practice that continues to guide every aspect of care today. Each session is approached with this same level of empathy, clinical insight, and a collaborative spirit, because the relationship between patient and provider matters just as much as the treatment itself. Outside of the office, staying active, creative, and connected to everyday life keeps things grounded. Whether working out, experimenting in the kitchen, or finding a sense of calm and creativity in pottery class, these pursuits bring the same intentionality and presence that shape the care offered to every patient.
