Do you feel overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, or big life changes? Many students come to me feeling stuck, pressured to have everything figured out, or caught between growing independence and complicated family or social dynamics. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to navigate it by yourself. I’m Kaylie, a Licensed Master Social Worker, and I help people manage anxiety, depression, identity concerns, and everyday stress that starts to feel like “too much.” I focus on getting to know you—what you care about, what feels hard, and what you want to change. Together, we’ll use practical tools and strategies (like problem-solving skills, coping techniques, and supportive conversations) to help you feel more grounded and confident. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and never judged. Therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating. You don’t need to have the perfect words or a clear plan. You just need a place to start. If you’re ready, I’m here to support you.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and therapist, providing support and guidance to LGBTQ+ folks who often don’t see themselves represented in the world around them or reflected in their search for the right-fit therapist. While I regularly help folks work through depression, anxiety, and trauma, we also freely discuss other topics that might not otherwise feel comfortable, including sex, faith, and the impact of diet culture. Nothing is off limits. I also regularly work with neurodivergent folks, especially around the emotional impact of ADHD, and exploring autistic identity. I am licensed in both New York and Wisconsin, and see clients throughout both states through video sessions.

Counseling works best when the focus is on getting back to yourself. It is a space to seek guidance, introspection, and wellness all geared around your own unique strengths, interests, and needs. Counseling is not about "fixing" you, it's about exploring and connecting with your own capabilities to bring you the wellness you deserve. When I work with clients it's important to guide you down your own path of wellness and to use my skills and expertise to help you embody your own power to heal. Through narrative and mindfulness based approaches we will work together to connect to your emotions and learn from your own self what it is you need to thrive. With over a decade of experience working in the mental health field in a variety of settings, I have gathered wisdom and knowledge from a variety of frameworks, such as person centered care, cognitive behavioral therapy, and crises and stress management, to address a variety of concerns such as trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, personal identity, goal setting, sexuality, grief, self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, mind-body healing and so much more.

** Telehealth and In-Person appointments.** We all long for our experiences, feelings, and needs to be seen, recognized, and honored. I bring to our work deep respect for your concerns and suffering. I place the therapeutic relationship at the heart of our work together which I approach with curiosity and empathy. I am most interested in what your unique experience is, and I aim to listen deeply on our road toward understanding. A safe-enough space will help us to transform your patterns of experience that interfere with your ability to be compassionate with yourself, to build meaningful relationships, and to work and play creatively, in other words, to live a fulfilling life. I am humbled by the complexity of human existence and feel honored to work with individuals from different racial and cultural backgrounds, sexual and gender identities, as well as spiritual and religious affiliations. In addition to my private practice, I am an Instructor in Psychology at Harvard Medical School (part-time) and supervise psychology interns and psychiatrist fellows. I served as the co-chair of the American Psychological Association’s (APA) Society for Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychology Graduate Student Committee helping young clinicians explore and develop their professional identities.

I've worked with a number of college clients who have struggled with anxiety, depression, social anxiety, adjusting, perfectionism, relationship issues, and stress. I offer psychological testing and therapy. I currently practice as a Pre-Doctoral Intern under the supervision of Dr. Meghan Fox and associated clinical faculty. I'm committed to providing a trusting, supportive and non-judgmental space for my clients to explore their inner world and make lasting change. Clients often tell me they feel comfortable sharing anything with me. That’s not by accident. I’ve spent decades building the trust, insight, and experience that helps clients uncover blind spots, reframe challenges, and create meaningful growth. I primarily draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing to help my clients. I also integrate mindfulness and somatic practices. I am a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University. I earned a Master of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Binghamton University. My background includes being a Fortune 500 Chief Human Resources Officer, CEO and Master Trainer for retired Navy SEAL Commander Mark Divine’s Unbeatable Mind and SEALFIT companies, a consultant specializing in culture and organizational development, and an Executive Coach. I am certified in Yoga, Meditation, Breathwork, and Ericksonian Hypnosis. I've traveled extensively and worked with people in 36 countries.

I work with college students and young adults who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or unsure of themselves. Many of the people I work with are navigating big life transitions, academic challenges, family stress, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, or feeling pressure to “have it all figured out.” You might be someone who overthinks, struggles with motivation or confidence, feels different from others, or finds yourself repeating patterns in relationships that leave you feeling hurt or misunderstood. Some clients are coping with substance use (their own or someone else’s), growing up in difficult family systems, or trying to heal from experiences that still affect them today. The clients I work best with are open to self-reflection and want support making meaningful changes, even if they’re not exactly sure where to start. Therapy with me is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping you better understand yourself, build practical tools, and feel more grounded and confident in your life.
