Therapists for college students near Denver, CO
I specialize in working with the LGBTQ+ population, addressing men's health issues, and supporting people struggling with addiction and substance use. I am experienced in working with people facing anxiety, stress, depression, and interpersonal conflict. I use a variety of techniques to help my clients, based on what we agree might be best for them - the most important part of therapy with me is you being an active participant in your own goals, progress, and life.
This transitional phase can be both exciting and overwhelming for young adults as they navigate the intricacies of gaining independence, making career choices, forging relationships, and finding their rightful place in the world. Amidst these challenges, many also face the complexities of managing anxiety, coping with depression, adjusting to the realities of ‘adulting,’ resolving roommate issues, and confronting substance use concerns. I provide a compassionate and supportive environment, offering practical guidance to help young adults navigate these multifaceted changes. My approach is designed to help overcome these obstacles, address emotional and mental health challenges, and foster a deep sense of purpose and direction.
My clients are smart, self-aware people who've been managing a lot on their own for a long time — and they're tired. They want to stop overthinking everything, feel more solid in their relationships, and figure out who they actually are underneath the performance. A lot of them are queer, neurodivergent, or both, and they're done explaining the basics to their therapist. They want someone direct, who notices patterns, and who won't let them stay comfortable when they're ready for something different. I'm a clinical psychologist. I work with attachment, identity, and the ways people get stuck trying to hold it all together. My style is warm but direct — I'll give you real feedback, not just nod and reflect. We use what works, and go at the pace your nervous system can handle. If you want an authentic therapist who's honest with you, helps you build skills that work outside the room, and actually tracks whether things are getting better — reach out. We'll figure out what matters and go from there.
I specialize in working with anxiety and OCD. Students that I work with report feeling more confident, free from fear, and understanding themselves better through our work together. Navigating the transition to college alongside mental health challenges can be difficult, and I'm here to support you along the way. Reach out now and we can chat to determine if we're a good fit!

Safe, supportive people are difficult to find. Often we don’t have the tools or relationships we need to heal and to thrive. I provide in person therapy, with emotional support dogs in the office. In my counseling office, you can experience the support you need to feel safe, become your best self, forgive yourself and others, learn mindfulness skills to manage difficult emotions, and reprocess past hurts and traumas, in order to move forward. You will develop skills and resilience for living in these uncertain times. I am Licensed (LPC), Nationally Certified, trained in EMDR, Splankna Spiritual Energy work, and Trauma Certified. I enjoy working with clients who are empaths, highly intelligent, highly sensitive, and connected to spirituality. I will help you learn to utilize your gifts for empathy, and learn how to protect your energy. I can help you thrive and develop resilience in these stressful times. Additionally, I'm from Boulder, Colorado and I enjoy helping clients in the area. Call or text me for a free 15-min phone consultation at 303-351-2354. If you would like support in these trying times, and have had a difficult time processing all of the pandemic stress , I am here to help. I love working with Spiritually oriented people, empaths, and helping clients grow and heal from trauma. I'm Nationally Certified, Licensed, and I have an M.A. in Spiritual Counseling Psychology from Naropa University. Are you searching for something greater in life? I provide meaning-centered counseling for individuals navigating trauma, chronic pain, and long-standing stress. My practice is grounded in the belief that experiences are held not only as memories or thoughts, but also within the nervous system as patterns shaped over time. When appropriate, I integrate body-based tools and insight-oriented approaches, supporting students who may understand their experiences intellectually yet continue to feel trapped in how their body responds. Work is paced, collaborative, and attentive to context, readiness, and lived experience rather than quick symptom fixes. My services are offered through in-person sessions in Frisco, Texas, and via secure telehealth across the state. My private practice is self-pay. For those wanting to use insurance, I also see clients through Legacy Trails Therapy, where select plans are accepted under supervisory billing. This can be discussed during consultation.
Are you feeling stuck? Or perhaps anxiety, fear, other emotions, or memories are preventing you from being your true self? Asking for help can feel intimidating, and at the same time everyone needs help at some point in their life. I am glad you are starting this process. I am here to work together with you on your concerns, issues, or perhaps the much needed space of a listening ear. I find it can be difficult to vocalize our emotions, share our story, or be our true selves due to many underlying emotions.
Hi there, First and foremost, I'm glad that you're getting support for yourself. Life can be challenging and I think therapy benefits everyone. I work best with clients who are open to a collaborative style as I'm most interested in supporting you, in the way that works for you. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have, whether this is your first time in therapy or your 10th.
A lot of us struggle to prioritize our wellness while balancing daily tasks, stressors, and especially during major life transitions such as college, career changes, relationship changes, mid-life crisis, retirement, and so on. Maybe you’re juggling college classes, being away from home and learning about this “adulting” thing. Or maybe you’re wondering how you became the adult & who let you be in charge?! If you’ve lost a sense of balance, if you live your life like everything is urgent, you are in the right place. If you’re not sure what you want or who you want to be but you feel a pressure to do it well (perhaps even perfectly!), I’m so glad you found me and I hope you’ll reach out!
Hello. I believe we all do the best we can with the tools we have. I offer a compassionate, trauma-informed, and nonjudgmental space where you can show up exactly as you are. Therapy is collaborative, flexible, and centered on your needs. If this resonates, I’d love to connect — feel free to reach out with any questions.

Are you feeling like something isn't quite right with you? Do you feel overwhelmed with daily life, while it seems like everyone else is doing just fine? It's not uncommon for people to struggle with past trauma, anxiety, or high levels of stress, which can make it challenging to cope with daily life and enjoy it. If you're at this point, know that you're not alone, and there is support available to you. As a therapist, I specialize in working with women, those in the LGBTQ+ community, and others who are seeking a safe and accepting space to heal. I understand that it can feel like you're trapped in the past, or that depression and anxiety are weighing you down, but there are effective treatments that can help you feel better in a matter of weeks, not years. My approach includes HeartMath, a program focused on finding balance and inner peace, as well as written exposure therapy, which is an evidence-based, gentler version of more intense trauma therapies. These techniques can help you feel more energy, freedom, and peace in your daily life. If you’ve landed here you are probably seeking connection, and hope to find the right professional to support you. Something has gotten in the way, or you’ve lost your way to a life that is rich and meaningful. It may be about fractured relationship, debilitating emotional struggles, over-reliance on a substance, the grip of social media, the persistence of trauma, or elusive life balance. Or you may wish to deepen progress you’ve already made in making a life worth living. I offer the wisdom and skills that come from over 30 years working in mental health. My 20+ years as a licensed therapist have included direct work with people of all ages and in all combinations, often as I also served in leadership positions in residential programs. My primary approach is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), including ACT for Trauma. Depending on what is useful, I weave elements of Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. The work I do is informed by Buddhist Psychology, and often includes guidance in the use of specific meditation techniques to bring clarity and growth. My own life has been enriched by my experience as a person in long-term recovery, my dedicated mindfulness/meditation practice, and my immersion in the outdoors wherever my travels take me.

Hey, I'm Maddie. I'm a therapist who specializes in helping young adults navigate the overwhelming parts of life—anxiety, depression, relationships, identity questions, and all the "what now?" moments that come with this stage of life. Here's the thing: Being a young adult today is hard. You're dealing with massive decisions about your future, trying to figure out who you are, managing relationships, and handling pressure from every direction. Maybe you're struggling with anxiety that makes it hard to focus or make decisions. Maybe you're feeling depressed and just going through the motions. Or maybe you're questioning everything—your major, your relationships, your path forward—and need someone to help you sort it out.
