Depression, anxiety, and trauma can show up in ways that feel overwhelming or hard to untangle—especially during periods of major life change. I’m Vivian, and I focus on providing a steady, reliable space for you to slow down and reflect. My approach centers on creating an environment where you feel safe and comfortable being completely open about your experiences, helping you make sense of what you’ve been carrying while moving toward something more manageable. I’ve always believed that even in the middle of a difficult season, there is a path toward clarity if we are willing to look for it together. As a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW) with a background in both clinical training and behavioral health, I bring a practical and observant approach to the healing process. My experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) has taught me the value of focusing on progress over perfection—celebrating small wins while making plenty of room for the real-life challenges that come with growth. I’ve worked with individuals across the lifespan, as well as couples and groups, which has given me a broad understanding of how we relate to one another and ourselves. Whether we meet in person or virtually, my goal is to help you build the practical coping strategies and emotional insight you need to navigate life with more balance. I often think of my role as providing an objective mirror when things feel cloudy, helping you find your own internal compass. I am dedicated to being a consistent presence in your corner, offering the tools and encouragement needed to help you move from a place of surviving to a place of true confidence and calm.
Hello all, I’m Emily. Trying to heal while dealing with the challenges that life entails can be difficult and enraging. I am here to tell you that you do not have to do it alone. I offer non-judgmental and inclusive therapy by providing a safe and comfortable space to explore your emotions and start the healing process. I obtained my B.A. in Psychology from Saint Mary’s College in 2020 and my M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from Aquinas College in 2023. I specialize in working with adults (18-30 years of age) and couples. I have experience in working on several issues including depression, anxiety, marital and relational issues, sexuality, test anxiety, and academic performance issues. My approach to counseling consists of letting you, the client, direct our sessions. I am here to offer my professional help using techniques and interventions. These techniques involve journaling, mindfulness strategies, grounding techniques, coping skills, and many more. We will work together to find the treatment plan and goals that feel right for you.

To me, therapy is the act of helping people learn to experience their emotions safely in the moment, to be truly present and their genuine selves as they go about their day. I work with people to bring awareness to the impact of the past, to make conscious the connections and patterns that inform our everyday experience so that they can decide whether they want to continue with them or if they want to try something new. Therapy is the practice of getting to know yourself and working out what’s best for you. It is the practice of loosening these binds and learning to live free and fully present in our lives. Employing an integrative approach utilizing both psychodynamic and cognitive-based interventions, I have experience providing both long and short term treatment for individuals, groups and couples focusing on issues such as trauma, sexuality and relationships, developmental issues, self-harm, grief and loss, and depression and anxiety. Whatever you have been through, whatever you are going through, you have the power to take control of your mental and emotional health; therapy simply means you don’t have to do it alone.

I believe that health and wellness are best achieved by addressing the whole person, not simply the condition, adverse event or illness/disease. This holistic approach to care respects the individuality of persons, their environments and their physical and emotional needs. The therapeutic relationship is important and necessary in order to move forward in your areas of stagnation. This collaborative effort will allow for exploration when determining which therapeutic approach best matches your identified goals based on symptoms, personality and experiences. My approach is collaborative, warm, engaging and directive. I utilize evidenced based practices and interventions to assist you in meeting your treatment goals and needs. We will develop realistic and obtainable goals along with skill building. Therapy is hard work! Building your best self takes time. I look forward in walking alongside you on this journey.

Starting college — or just trying to get through it — can bring up a lot: Am I doing this right? Do I even belong here? Who am I becoming? I’d love to help you figure it out. Together we can work through the stress of adjusting to a new place, academic and social anxiety, career uncertainty, drinking or eating patterns that feel hard to shake, or trauma that’s still asking to be understood. I especially enjoy working with students nearing graduation who are wrestling with what comes next — career direction, next steps, and the identity shift that comes with leaving college behind. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years as a professor, and my research focused on identity and belonging — so I have a real passion for working with students exploring who they are, especially those navigating race, class, gender, or sexuality, or who just feel like they’re on the outside looking in. I bring both that academic background and genuine warmth to our work together.
I have over 26 years of experience working as a licensed social work therapist and clinical supervisor. My area of expertise is the field of domestic and sexual violence -issues surrounding complex trauma, types of abuse, leaving vs. staying, safety, and healthy/unhealthy relationships. I also address self-esteem, boundary setting, empowerment, conflict resolution, stress/anxiety, depression, gender identity/dysphoria, family conflicts, grief and loss, anger, and coping with life changes. I work with individual adults (primarily women) and utilize a strengths-based, nonjudgmental, empowerment-focused, and client centered approach.
Currently accepting new preteen, teen, and young adult clients. Are you or your child struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, or challenges related to school? You’ve taken an important step by seeking help. I provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. I utilize evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), tailored to meet your individual needs. Together, we can work through your experiences, develop coping strategies, and foster resilience, empowering you to take control of your mental well-being. Your experiences matter, and I am here to listen and guide you on this path. Whether you're facing overwhelming emotions or navigating complex relationships, you don’t have to go through it alone. Let’s embark on this journey together toward healing and growth.

She works with clients who are experiencing mental health crisis as well as clients who are wanting to build a life of enhanced functioning and self empowerment. Alice will work with you to build an intervention that leads to your particular goals in a timely and efficient manner.
